Summary: After saving the Varden from King Galbatorix's armies, Eragon and his dragon Saphira head to a place called Ellesmera. Where he needs to get training from the elves. While his cousin Roran is busy fighting a battle at home. After training with the elves Eragon heads to help the Varden and Surda as they prepare for battle. Roran then meets up with Eragon and together they fight in the battle of The Burning Plains. But there is another dragon rider on the opposing side of the battlefield...

Personal Reaction: I really liked this book because it is filled with magic, dragons, and sword fighting. But it also has a good story with an entire world built within the book. I would recommend this book to people who are good readers as the book is long and contains some big words but if you like fantasy this book could be right for you. This book is especially for young adults. I think it is a good book and has everything a book needs.

Read: February 20-March 12

Summary: The adventure with Eragon and Saphira continues as they journey to Ellesmera to gain training from the elves there, so he is better prepared to protect the Varden. The book also has chapters that involve Eragon's cousin Roran in Carvahal, as he leads the people away to safety. Eragon and Saphira must again prepare for battle, and Roran must lead the people of Carvahal to safety away from the King.

Personal Reaction: I enjoyed reading this book because you can relate to the people in the book, the way each scene is described can help the reader imagine it. I think people who enjoy a good adventure with magic, dragons, elves, people, and at some parts a little romance.
