The setting: a ceremony about the final connection to connect all the computers in the galaxy.

Having soldered the final connection, the chief scientist asks the Galactic
President: "Do you wish to ask a question to the computer?"

The Presidents nears the microphone and asks: "Is there God"

After a minute, a voice from a loudspeaker answers: "Yes, now"

[It's now more than forty years I am trying to locate that novel!]
