Beth Stewart | 644 comments Chapter one: someone texts the victim. Does that not mean that the murderer is known to him? How easy is it to identify someone’s cell phone number?

Shell (whodoneit) | 24 comments I'm about half way through and enjoying it for a first book by this author. Though there are bits of it that I find unconvincing. I look forward to seeing how it all ties up at the end.

Shell (whodoneit) | 24 comments In the end, I quite enjoyed the book. It was a bit far fetched that the two of them, and one being a little old lady, would go on such a killing spree. However, I didn't think it had anything particularly gripping about it and Jennifer didn't ring true to me either. Parts of the plot, like finding out the house because an artist always left pea pods open or closed was very unoriginal and the whole book felt like it had been written by an author who'd been on a "How to write a crime book" course. I don't think I'll be inspired to read further in this series, but it wasn't terrible and, of course, had a nice dog in it.

Beth Stewart | 644 comments I agrée with Shell about the old lady being the other half of the team especially considering that the average age of murderers is just over 30 years. Maybe she had a unique form of dementia!

As she didn’t have a close relationship when he was orphaned why would she suddenly feel the need to participate in his form of revenge?

Shell (whodoneit) | 24 comments I did also think that a murderer leaving numbers on the victims was pretty cheesy and lacked any creativity.

Beth Stewart | 644 comments February read will be better than this one, I am sure!
