I read the blurb of this book in 2015 or the year before that, when it just came out. The cover was a shade of blue.

The girl was stressed out with her life, what with having to take care of her mother, and something about her job. There was a road which she drove on everyday. On this particular day, she didn't make a turn when she was supposed to, and kept on driving straight. She wanted to get away from her problems, if just for a short while, and had decided to go back after a little bit. However, she ended up in a different realm and couldn't go back to her former life.
In that place, she meets a little girl that is holding a knife in her hand.
The main character, with nowhere to stay, goes to a run-down motel.
She also meets a guy which she asks how she can get out of here. He tells her that the guy that used to set people free is missing.
