Welcome to The Revolving Shelf! :D

My name is Emily! I am a self-proclaimed bibliophile--I love to collect and read books. I have a blog, The Diary of a Bibliophile, in which I talk about books and my addiction to recycled reading; you'll come to find that Value Village is my happy place. I definitely buy more books than I read, but I consider this to be an extension of my bibliophilia. I'm obsessed with my dog and The Mindy Project. And, I'm a firm believer in coffee in the morning and pizza for dinner (and possibly for breakfast and lunch). :P

I'm so happy to be a part of this book club and discuss books. I look forward to reading with you! Feel free to leave a little personal blurb. We'd love to get to know y'all! And, if you have a blog, definitely link it so we can check it out!

Morgan (mnoel) Hello everyone!

My name is Morgan! To put it simply, I'm a book collector (I think hoarder is more accurate, but collector sounds much better). Even as a kid I wanted ALL of the books, but back then I never read a single one, that is, until the Harry Potter series came around. That's the series that changed everything for me and now reading is one of my main hobbies. I still buy way more books than I should, but I mean, I'll get a chance to read them eventually... right? :P

Otherwise a huge majority of my time is spent at work, full time at a candle store, however I'm looking into going to culinary school for baking and cake decorating. I learned how to decorate before learning how to bake so all of my days off are spent in the kitchen teaching myself how to make anything and everything! I actually have a baking instagram as well and I'm working towards a blog. I'm both a coffee and chocolate addict. And I have crafter's ADD so I have at least some supplies for basically every form of art or craft you can think of.

I'm beyond excited to get this book club started. Let's do this! :D

Ashley Urquhart (ashurq) My name is Ashley and you can find my bookish thoughts at my blog: whatsshereading.wordpress.com

I'm currently working on my Masters in Library Science through IUPUI and am looking to specialize in Youth Services (I read YA almost exclusively). I've always loved reading and I've been lucky enough to marry a man who enables my bookish habits.

I think I'm addicted to that feeling of finding a really good deal on a book that you've been wanting to read. For example, I found the third Miss Peregrine's book on sale at my library for $1.50. $1.50!!! It just came out last year and I got it for a fraction of the list price in GREAT condition.

Anyway...I'm excited to be participating in this book club and look forward to meeting the rest of you!

I love this. I've always loved baking and cake decorating, as well. It's one of my little hobbies. And, oh my goodness, you work at a candle store. That's amazing. I would come home with candles every day. I'm obsessed.

Thanks for sharing, Morgan! So happy to have you in this book club. :)

Thanks for sharing, Ashley! It's been a pleasure to get to know you through your blog over the past year and I can't wait to connect with you even more through this book club.

I love that your hubby enables your book habit. He's definitely a keeper. I, too, have a boyfriend that enables my book habit, though he doesn't read; and I'm trying my hardest to get him to read! :P

I'm interested in enrolling in the same program you are currently working on. How are you liking it?

Hello, hello, hello!

My name is Kaylee - my book alias is thetravelingbookworm - you can find me on instagram and tumblr and my reviews and thoughts on everything that I read on thetravelingbookwormblog.wordpress.com

I just graduated from Carleton University with an Honours degree in English and History. I am currently working and planning to travel the world with a suitcase full of books.

I was bit by the reading bug around the age of five when my parents began reading The Adventure Series to my sister and I. From there came The Chronicles of Narnia and my first library card... and the rest is history.

Meeting all of you lovely, talented, inspiring, bookish ladies has been beyond what I expected when just over a month ago I started taking pictures of my books. I am so excited to be apart of this book club and can hardly wait for April 1!

I like it quite a bit! I am finding that I'm more interested in the Reader's Advisory side of things compared to the programming and management side of things though. There's a lot more to becoming a librarian than I thought!

All credit goes to you for inspiring this book club. (Give her some love, guys!) :)

A fellow Canadian! How exciting! I graduated from U of T with an Honours B.A. in English, Philosophy, and Classics about 2 years ago! :D

I love that you want to travel the world with your books. That's amazing. I have some serious wanderlust.

I know I've said this to you before, but I love your IG. Your photos are beautiful.

That's so cool. I think Reader's Advisory would interest me more than the programming and management side, as well.

I'm assuming that your goal at the end of your program is to be a librarian? I know some people enroll in the program to work in archives and other related jobs.

Morgan (mnoel) Yeah working at a candle store is financially dangerous, that's for sure. It's also a challenge to avoid adding multiple candles to every single book photo i take. I just have way too many to choose from!

message 15: by Maren (new)

Maren (pennma05) Hello! My name is Maren (pronounced MAH-ren). I've spent most of my life having people pronouncing it as though it rhymes with Karen so I've been starting to throw out the correct pronounciation right away when I meet people online lately :)

You can find my bookish thoughts and things on my blog, The Worn Bookmark - thewornbookmark.wordpress.com
For as long as I can remember I have loved reading and some of my fondest childhood memories were biking to the library on summer days to get new books to read.

Currently I am obsessed with Outlander and will buy, read or watch anything related to the series. I'm a big reader of both adult and YA, especially in the fantasy and historical fiction genres.

I have a Bachelor's degree in history with a minor in museum studies and have been seriously thinking about pursuing a Masters in library science.

I live in Minnesota with my husband and two cats. We love to travel, especially to the MN shoreline of Lake Superior.

Hello everyone!

My name is Eleni (or Helen) and I am a sixteen-year-old bookworm from Greece! I am in the first grade of high school, and struggling to keep up with all the work at school.

I have been a reader since I can remember! The first book that really got me into reading was (you guessed it) Harry Potter and later on The Hunger Games! I mostly read YA, and my favorite genre is fantasy!

Apart from being an avid reader, I am also a book hoarder, but who isn't, right? I have lost count of the amount of books I own and have still to read!

Lately, I've been obsessed with bookstagram, where I met a lot of wonderful people :)

I am so excited to be part of this book club and I can't wait to meet all of you fellow bookworms and have fun discussing with you!

(I also have a YouTube channel, where I talk about books (duh) with my friend Anna... If you are interested here's the link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCebh...

Hello ☺
My name is celin I'm 17 years old ,
I'm on my last year of high school I also work at a cafe so I could buy new books. I speak three languages: English, Spanish and Hebrew.

I decided to start a book account because my friends were tired of me taking pictures of books on Snapchat haha, I started to read books after i moved to a new country and in my new class all the girls read book and that made me want to join the club. Soon after, I was the one who has become the bookworm now I can read a whole book of 500 and more pages in one day. that means that most of the time I prefer to read to eat or to sleep. If you ask my friends and my mom I buy too many books but I think that I don't buy enough .

Most of the time you can find me on my couch with a book the television on , my phone on instagram and my dog next to me sleeping . You definitely can say that I'm a multitasker

Krystal (kpesino) | 3 comments Hi hi all! I'm sort of embarrassed at how long it took me to do this -- I was kind of feeling shy, forgive me. Anywho.
I'm Krystal! I'm currently in the process of getting my bachelor's in early childhood education. When I'm not doing that, I'm toiling away at Barnes and Noble part-time. My bookstagram is booksandbubbles, because there are few things in life that give me more joy than reading and long baths. Put these things together? I'm in heaven.
I'm also horrible at talking about myself. So I'm going to leave it at that, and just say how excited I am to participate in this!

Yvonne (It's All About Books) (yvo_about_books) Hi everyone! Looks like I somehow overlooked this section until now... Whoops! Let me introduce myself: I'm Yvonne, or Yvo for short. I was born a Dutchie, but I have been living in different countries for many years now. I have a degree in Spanish Philology and after travelling around a lot (especially Europe and Latin America) I finally settled down in lovely Argentina with my hubby...

I started my book blog It's All About Books a few years ago, but I have been an avid reader ever since I was little. Imagine Matilda with a cart full of books from the library; that would be me! I love reading books from a wide variety of genres, although my favorites would be mystery/thriller, fantasy, YA and historical fiction. Other things I love include my furry friends (currently two cats and a dog), everything cooking and baking, random DIY projects and kayaking. :D

It's great to meet so many fellow book lovers; happy reading everyone!

Kristi | Hidden Staircase | (beckmank) | 1 comments Hi all! I'm Kristi. I've never been part of a book club before, and I am looking forward to it. I've been book blogging over at Hidden Staircase for a little over a year now. I love the book blogging community, everyone is so great! I've found some great reads through other reviews.

I don't have time to commit to the April read, but hoping to jump in for May.

Elizabetta Holcomb | 1 comments Hi guys! I'm Elizabetta Holcomb, the new YA author on the block. I was invited to join this group by one of my awesome IG people and I'm so glad she sent that invite. I'm looking forward to reading some good stuff with you guys and finding out the trends with YA audiences. I love connecting with the people who read the genre that I write. I want ALL the info on great YA reads. I've been reading mostly romance historical fiction for a few years, so I'm rusty with the YA bookshelves. You guys give me some help and help me fill my TBR list pronto!
I can't wait to interact with all of you! Thanks for having me.

My name is Courtney and I run the book blog www.themoralofourstories.com I have been a little lax on the website front lately as I had some surgery several months back and am just getting to writing all the reviews I need to post from before that. Amanda (literary_panda) | 12 comments Hi everyone!
My name is Amanda and I'm the somewhat IG newbie behind @abookishdreamland :)
I have 2 kids, Hayley and Ryan, they are soon to be 8 and 5. I am a lover of just about any book as long as it keeps me turning pages. I am currently reading A Storm of Swords by George R.R Martin (huge books)! I love all YA, nonfiction, dystopian books, some romance, newly into murder mystery, newly into horror, and getting my feet wet in the classics.
I look forward to knowing all of you and making new friends!

Demmi (demmiwritist) | 1 comments Hello everyone!
My name is Demmi. I just joined your group yesterday and I'm so excited to meet you all!
I'm currently studying Archaelogy but I'm hoping to do a Master's in Creative Writing once I'm done. Reading has always been my passion and it's so nice to be able to share that with people who love books as much as I do. My favorite genre is fantasy but I never say no to exploring other genres and discovering new books. I do pretty well with horror and mystery too, and also a few contemporaries.
You can also find me on Instagram (@demmi_writist) or check out my blog, if you're interested: https://wordsandlyricss.wordpress.com/
I can't wait to read along with you!

Imani (imosley) | 3 comments Hello fellow bibliophiles!

My name is Imani (or Mo, whatever's easier), and I'm a brand spanking new bookstagrammmer behind mo.books on Instagram and was so graciously invited by Emily to join this group. I'd also love to connect with more of the bookstagram community, so if you have one, say hi! :)

I currently live in NYC by way of Chicago, and went to college at Tulane in New Orleans, so I love to experience and live in new places! I'm an executive assistant by day, an aerialist by night, and a book nerd at heart!

My favorite genres are literary fiction and contemporary fiction, and some classics, but pretty much open to anything! If it's a good book, it's a good book. I don't discriminate!

Looking forward to joining the conversation, connecting, and making some new friends along the way!
