message 151: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) She gladly did so, almost bouncing as she headed towards the school.

message 152: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper smiled faintly, noticing how excited she seemed. He looked around, walking with her.

message 153: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) The crowd was pretty thick heading into the school and from there the Great Hall, and Maja didn't like that too much, but she let the crowd guide her, as she usually did, she turned to look at Jasper with a grin.

message 154: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper had his arms wrapped around himself, not liking the crowds of people. He smiled weakly back at her, following her inside.

message 155: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Maja dropped back beside Jasper. "Not a fan of crowds?" She asked.

message 156: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper nodded his head. He walked in pace with her, biting his lip lightly.

message 157: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Claustrophobia, or just dislike?"

message 158: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "A bit of both." Jasper answered honestly. He moved over to where there were less people.

message 159: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Ah, I see." Maja followed him, watching as other students streamed into the Great Hall.

message 160: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper nodded. "Yeah." He looked over at her as they walked into the Great Hall.

message 161: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Well..." Maja stopped in the doorway. "I guess I'll see you later."

message 162: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "I'll see you later. Don't forget about books." Jasper reminded her one last time. He smiled lightly before walking over to the Slytherin table, his head down.

message 163: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Maja smiled and waved back, hurrying to find a spot near her friends at the Gryffindor table.

message 164: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper took a seat at the Slytherin table, not sitting close to really anyone. He looked around the great hall, lost in though.

message 165: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) As soon as Maja sat down, her friends asked her about the guy she'd come in with. She just waved off their questions.

message 166: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper wished he had carried a book with him or something. Then he'd be able to just tune out everything around him.

message 167: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It wasn't long before the first years filed in, looking petrified.

message 168: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper looked over and watched the first years carefully. He ran a hand through his hair.

message 169: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) The Sorting didn't take long — luckily, everyone was hungry by now.

message 170: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) There was one new Slytherin who looked really scared. So Jasper got up and walked over to the first year, introducing himself.

message 171: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) The table welcomed the new Gryffindors very loudly, as most of them did everything. If Maja was being honest, she didn't really appreciate how loud her housemates could be. It got on her nerves.

message 172: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper invited the first year to sit with him. He could tell the first year wasn't sure about being there so Jasper just talked to him, helped calm him down and make him feel better.

message 173: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) It didn't take long for Maja and her friends to pull themselves into their own little cluster. The first years tended to get sucked into the larger group by sheer force of the other Gryffindors, but a red headed boy approached Maja's group with a shy smile. Maja grinned at him as he sat down next to her.

message 174: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper and the boy finished eating. "Come on." Jasper said, getting up. He quickly and quietly led the first year out of the great hall. He smiled lightly as the first year followed him.

message 175: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) After dinner, the Gryffindors headed to bed. Maja made a mental note to find Jasper before breakfast.

message 176: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper showed the first year around before leading the way to the Slytherin common room. He then went to his room from there, unpacking some of his stuff.

((Skip?))

message 177: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) ((Yeah))

message 178: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Next day? And could you start?))

message 179: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) ((Yes and sure!))

The next day, Maja was up early, which wasn't odd at all for her. She liked to be awake earlier than most — generally to go over her homework again and prepare for class. She headed down to the Great Hall as soon as was possible, hoping to catch Jasper.

message 180: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper was already in the Great Hall, looking like he'd been up for a while. He typically went there early and would eat breakfast, then hide up in his room while most everyone else was down there. Jasper was sitting alone at the Slytherin table, a book propped up in front of him.

message 181: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Maja saw him as soon as she walked in, though he didn't appear to notice her. She headed over to his table, plopping down across from him. "Hi." She said.

message 182: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Jasper jumped, not having heard or seen her come up. "Oh.. Hi." He said, bookmarking his page before closing the book. He ran a hand through his hair.

message 183: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Maja laughed. "I told you I'd find you sometime."

message 184: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "It's not that hard. I've been down here for like an hour already." He replied with a shrug. Jasper looked around the Great hall, lost in thought.

message 185: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "You get up early too, huh?"

message 186: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Remember. I'm nocturnal." Jasper reminded her. He'd been up since midnight, just wandering the school or reading.

message 187: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) She nodded, "Right. Almost forgot."

message 188: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Yep." Jasper nodded. He picked up the apple he'd been eating and took another bite out of it.

message 189: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "So what are you reading?" Maja tapped the cover of the book.

message 190: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Currently, Red Rising." Jasper answered with a shrug. He showed her the book.

message 191: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "I've never heard of it. What's it about?"

message 192: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Okay. So it's set on Mars. There's a color-caste system with red as the lowest caste and gold as the top. So the Reds, they all think they are on Mars to help make it habitable for the future on the surface. But people are already on the surface so the Reds have just been used as slaves. So now it's them rising up against the system." Jasper explained.

message 193: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "That...sounds really interesting!" Maja said, "Do you like it so far?"

message 194: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Yeah." Jasper nodded.

message 195: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "I'll have to read it sometime then." Maja grabbed an apple off the table.

message 196: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Yeah. You should." Jasper agreed.

message 197: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "I'll look for it next time I'm in a bookstore." She said as she took a bite of the apple.

message 198: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "I own it. So you can borrow it from me when I finish if you want." Jasper offered.

message 199: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Are you sure? Sometimes people get weird about that..."

message 200: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "I don't mind. Just don't damage my books." Jasper said with a shrug.
