Maja sat up, looking out over the lake.

"It looks really peaceful..." Maja said.
She shuddered, though not from the cold.
"Yeah, just a chill."((I'm going to bed now- good night))
((Goodnight))Jasper nodded. "Okay." He smiled lightly at her.
She smiled back. "Are you sure you're not cold?"
"Yeah. I'm sure." Jasper nodded, smiling.
Jasper smiled at her. "Are you going home on our Christmas break?" He asked curiously.
Maja nodded, "I plan on it. I'm sure my parents would love to see me. I'm an only child, you know."
Jasper nodded. "Makes sense." He said with a shrug.
"Probably not. My parents don't notice me when I'm there anyway." Jasper shrugged. "I might as well stay here where I at least sorta belong.."
"Oh." Maja went quiet for a minute, thinking. "I can probably stay." She said.
Jasper shook his head. "You should go home And see your parents. They probably miss you." He replied.
"But I don't want to leave you here on your own."
"I'll be alright. I've got books and stuff. We can always send messages to each other as well ." Jasper told her.
"Don't. We can send messages back and forth. I'll be fine here."
Maja bit her lip, but stayed quiet. No matter what he said, she would talk to her parents, see what they thought.
Jasper looked up at the sky, looking for stars. He ran a hand through his hair.
Maja sighed. Now she wasn't feeling too happy. She lay back down, closing her eyes.
Jasper looked over at her. "What're you thinking?"
"Nothing, really." Maja's voice was quiet.
"You sure?" He asked, worried about her sudden mood change.
"Yeah." Maja mumbled. She wasn't tired, but she was content. Being outside, like this, it felt good.
"Alright." Jasper laid down beside her, looking up at the sky.
Maja opened her eyes, looking up. It was getting darker now.
Jasper smiled softly. Some stars started to appear.
"Me too.." Jasper mumbled. He glanced over at her.
Jasper smiled at her. He faced the stars again.
Maja grinned and nudged him with her hand, just for fun.
Jasper nudged her arm with his hand, smirking lightly.
Jasper rolled his eyes. "Don't make me pick you up. Again." He threatened.
Maja crossed her arms. "I don't want to be picked up, that's why."
"Fine." Jasper replied, glancing at her.
Jasper focused on the stars, once again, smiling.
