Be patient, if there is a huge backlog it could take awhile, and if some have been requested multiple times it could take even longer.

Both are placeholder editions, but the second one has more information in the description about the book.
458 - Though #1 holds the truncated ISBN of #2, it's a different cover and was created only couple of days ago. Removed truncated ISBN and marked it as ACE. I think your #3 was supposed to be this. 459 - Following the chain of cover image changes and reverting the earliest edit brings me to a different cover. Marked the no-ISBN edition as ACE and
Can you please re-check if there are any duplicate editions for the new covers of 458/459? :)

When we "merge" editions, it means we move all the reviews to another edition instead of completely deleting the details. For this reason, any duplicates or strays that librarians find will have to be separated out along with the edition into which they have to be merged. If they are the duplicates of the default edition or if they are strays that contain absolutely no information, there is no need to separate and re-combine.
The edition you listed was a stray with no details hence it need not be separated as a stand alone edition. It can be merged into default. And since it was shelved only by 1 user, you would have been able to do it successfully :)

Btw, do you know if this edition needs to be marked as ACE?

Just checking: Since both are placeholder editions with very little info and differ only in description section - would it make any difference which edition is merged as long as the info is retained? I usually prefer to merge the edition shelved the least times so that it doesn't put too much load on GR's general merge functionality :)
470 - Merged and recombined. Also added translator471 - The yellow sticker on one cover has "* * *" in the end while the other one doesn't. I don't know if we can merge *runs and hides in a corner*

I thought I put to merge the one that only had 31 adds into the one with over 13K. Maybe I copied the links in reverse by accident.

Not that this happens often, usually there is a valid edition and a duplicate.

Update on 417-419 & 457 - 418 went through finally and I re-combined with the main work.

After reverting all the cover changes for ISBN 2264034882 / 9782264034885, what I understand is - covers uploaded Feb 2007, Jan 2012 (twice), Feb 2012, Jun 2012 are all the same. They all show a man coming down the stairs on his head.
The first cover change to go against policy was in Apr 2014 which has 13 ppl on the cover all on the outer edge. The cover uploaded in Feb 2016 was slight variant of the same. This cover already exists under edition 15732281, which was requested for merge. It looks like the edition was queued for merge but it didn't go through yet. I've added the edition as ACE in description link but if the merge goes through, I can add a new edition again with the ACE cover. It has 9 ratings and 18 people shelved it so we may not be losing a lot.
I also found a new cover on Amazon for this ISBN which I added as another ACE. Will check after a couple of days if the merge went through, before re-adding the initial ACE.
Please delete: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...I was fixing the author list when I discovered the book was a duplicate. I don't know if I'm the one who partial-pasted a truncated ISBN-13. I don't think there was an ISBN entry at all when I started editing. (Sheesh.) I apologize for the confusion.
I think 441 and 486 are still pending. Can someone please check?
