What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book) - Part 2

Im loving it so far, great for reading as it rains and thunders outside.

I'd class these books somewhere on the scale between James Patterson and John Grisham

Lol, book in need of a better editor.

Did you ever read the rest of the Gunslinger series Ryan?
The movie is out next week and the trailer looks fantastic. Roland and The Man in Black are very well cast.

I'm also listening to Murphy's Law by Rhys Bowen.
Both these are books on my list for the Armchair August Challenge! :)

I saw the trailer last night before Dunkirk. I haven't read beyond The Gunslinger, but I feel like I have to before seeing the movie. It looked awesome.

I also saw the trailer before Dunkirk. It had me at the chime of the pocket watch from For A Few Dollars More, which is one of my favourite films. I’ll probably end up watching the film before getting to the books. I’m also looking forward to Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
What did you think of Dunkirk, Ryan?

MotOE looked good too.

Yeah, it's pretty lean and stripped back. I thought the sound design for those approaching planes was very well done. It really makes you think about what it must have been like for all of those soldiers on the beach.

Am about to start listening to The Returning Tide by Liz Fenwick

Think I'm going to settle on

Coincidences....
First I read this
and then I read this
and even though they are set in different countries the covers are so similar.
And then both featured dead bodies being hung up from the rafters.

Carved in Bone by Jefferson Bass

This is my second time reading this series, the first time was so long ago that all I do remember is that I loved it and that it's one of my favorite series. I absolutely love forensics so this is right up my alley and I needed a book to fit in a challenge so I'm starting at the beginning once more. The 9th one came out in 2015, the 10th in 2016, neither of which I've read so I figured I would enjoy them more if the previous books were fresh in my mind.

I was thinking about Nicole Trope as I began this one, Carolyn. I'm really enjoying it. Will finish it tonight.
