Force of Nature (Aaron Falk, #2) by Jane Harper Force of Nature is already out in Australia Kim :) And both Never Never (Detective Harriet Blue, #1) by James Patterson Never Never and Fifty Fifty (Detective Harriet Blue, #2) by James Patterson Fifty Fifty are co-authored by an Aussie author - Candice Fox

I've read Never Never but not the second yet :)

Diana (secondhandrose) | 73 comments I've just purchased Cooking with Kindness by Pam Ahern; one copy for me and one copy for a workmate who has helped me a lot with my new laptop. The recipes are vegan and the sale of the cookbook benefits Edgar's Mission, a farm animal sanctuary.

Sally, I love all of Maggie O'Farrell's fiction, this one is a memoir, so we shall see.

message 3207: by Kylie (new)

Kylie (kyliemaree) | 878 comments Going onto a thread such as this one only makes me wish I had so much more time to read, or at least, read at a faster pace than I do! There's quite a few on this page alone I'm keen to check out!

I've used up some of my credits on Audible this evening, and these are the lucky ones chosen from my rather overwhelming wish list...

Ambulance Girls by Deborah Burrows
Without a Trace by Lesley Pearse
The Traitor's Girl by Christine Wells
The Missing Ones by Patricia Gibney

And my mum made very quick work of The Woman in the Wood, also by Lesley Pearse so I've borrowed that from her to (hopefully) read before the end of this final school term when I'll see her next!

I've been telling myself that I'm not a huge fan of historical fiction / mysteries but after reading the blurb about the books on your list, I have to admit that all look intriguing! I'll be very interested to see what you think of them, Kylie!

A percentage of royalties go to wildfire victims in California. My friend, Mark is a book blogger and has a character named after him in this book. Mark's brother has lost his home in these fires and Mark's parents have been under mandatory evacuation.

Ace (aceonroam) Do you donate all of your books back to the OpShop Diana? You would need a lot of shelves otherwise: )
Most of mine went to the OpShop or to the Chermside library if they were in good condition.

Yes, once they are read they go back to the op shop however my sister has told me about a Little Free Library run by the local council in her suburb so I am going to start putting books there as well.

Carolyn | 9842 comments I know Veronica, it's too tempting when people post interesting reviews and the book is just sitting there waiting to be asked for!
And I can't help having a little browse whenever I go in to post a review .....

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9979 comments I spent $39 at the Lifeline book fair. Well, $40 if you include the gold coin entry. Did not succeed for you, Carolyn, but got some on my wishlist, and one of Veronica's??
Winds of Evil $3
The Ocean at the End of the Lane $4
Witness in Death $3 (Veronica?)
Dark Matter $5
The Suspect $4
Whipbird $6
That Empty Feeling $6
Barkskins $6
What Happened That Night $5
Commonwealth $5

a pretty good haul, I thought. May go back Sunday arvo when books are half price
