Recently Purchased/Acquired book/s - part 2
I just collected my reserve from the library, The Chosen (NB Phrynne, Black Dagger Brotherhood #15!!!)and also borrowed The Defence because I won The Liar in a GR Giveaway, and I already own The Plea. There is a prequel, The Cross but at $3.74 for a 164page kindle book, I might give it a miss.....
Just had a little raid on NetGalley 'cos I didn't have enough to read.Have been approved for:
Ginny Moon by Benjamin Ludwig
The Stranger Inside by Jennifer Jaynes
Every Last Lie by Mary Kubica
The Road to Winter by Mark Smith

Brenda wrote: "Ooh nice Carolyn! I have The Stranger Inside and have read The Road to Winter as you know :)"Your review of The Road to Winter was partly to blame for my little splurge on Netgalley, Brenda. I was being so good this year not asking for too many, but now apart from those four books I have another eight requests pending so will be very busy If I get them all!
the book whisperer supported Mission Australia today:The Nest $3 and
The Good People also $3. Jools? I know it's not on your special list, but sooo cheap and looks unread.... I'll bring it to the next meet anyway, someone might want it.

I got Norwegian by Night and Into the Water from the library. Not sure how my library had Into the Water already when it was only published today yet I am still waiting for books that were published in early April.
Phrynne wrote: "I got Norwegian by Night and Into the Water from the library. Yes it should be for sale today. But libraries always take forever to "process" the books. It can be ages before they appear on the shelf. So this was a major surprise:)

Usually I have to sneak the books in and hide them from DH. Today I told him I'd spent $3 on a book that he already has. It's not in pristine condition: there's no dust jacket and the cover is damaged in a few spots, but her tells me he could probably get $300 for it, if he decided to sell it. So the book whisperer gets the tick of approval today, LOL. And if we are ever heading to the breadline, we can forestall it by selling that...
