We've had paid parking for a number of years. Result? I hardly ever go into town. When I have to, I park at Aldi and walk, or, if I'm donating, they have free undercover parking in the building so I always use that opportunity to do something else in town. But the paid parking is expensive, so you'd never go into town to meet a friend for lunch, or something like that. We do have a free bus that comes from the inner suburbs where you can park....
I can understand why ours is putting in paid parking as the railway station is going in opposite but it will be number plate recognition so after 3 hours you can't drive out, do a loop and park again.

thanks, Brenda, I had to delete and redo as the page was a bit too blurry, so now your comment comes before my post, LOL
Brenda wrote: "My copy of Tobruk 1941 by Chester Wilmot :) Thanks anyway Marianne :)"but what else did you come home to?
Be My Baby by Laura Greaves
Three Parts Truth by Helen Goltz
Say You're Sorry and
The Suspect both by Michael Robotham which I'd ordered from BD :)
When you see reviews by Text for their books, often one of the review comments will be attributed to BookMooch (=me!)
It is a good word, isn't it. I shall be interested to see if you succeed in using succinct, although perhaps that will be elsewhere?
Marianne wrote: "It is a good word, isn't it. I shall be interested to see if you succeed in using succinct, although perhaps that will be elsewhere?"TRR might now allow it.
Hi, I've just recently purchased two paperbacks,
and
- I'm determined to read them this week and complete reviews! That's my aim. Lea
Dymocks was having a 3 for 2 sale on their Top 101 books, so I bought Humans of New York: Stories by Brandon Stanton, A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, and The Martian by Andy Weir. The first two books have been on my TBR list for a couple of years now, and I've already read The Martian, but I borrowed it from the library and loved it so much I wanted my own copy.
This morning I read the article in the Good Weekend magazine on Samantha Shannon, then at Mission Australia I spotted The Bone Season for $2. No prizes, my friends, for guessing what happened next.... LOL
Brenda wrote: "Fatal Mistake by Aussie author Karen M. Davis is up on NetGalley - I picked up a copy :)"Me too Brenda, I enjoyed her others.
