No I don't think so Carolyn :) It's still as hard a site to navigate as it ever was!

I thought of it as a play on hipster, but the spelling bookster was already taken so Bookstr. Just my idea.

Apparently I'm the only nerd on the planet who owns a Aussie dictionaries!

A-Z Aussie Slang Dictionary: Over 1000 True Blue Sayings by Elly Cridland doesn't even exist on GR!
Both are Aussie authors. Australians must be smarter than Americans and don't need a dictionary! =o)

Nah, we just know our own slang is all Owl ;)

I love beautiful cook books even though I never get time to actually cook.
I am in a good mood because I just acquired Echoes in Death. Glad we get the edition here with the nice cover. This
is MUCH nicer than this

Well done Phrynne! The Australian covers of all the In Death books are so much better I reckon!!

Very nice Jools! Will look good in your new kitchen :)
If you want to jump right into pastry making you could bring some along to the Sydney meet up this weekend ;)

I didn't know this was being released as a movie when I ordered it, but I guess that's why it was being advertised! The movie has been getting great reviews.

Wow! The 44th in the series? That's impressive! Guess I'd better get to reading the first one!

I've got 975 books in all and was thinking that I might have 1000 by the end of the year! I'm thinking it's going to be a lot sooner than the end!
Found this paperback for $0.01

And this for $1.00

I really DO have some self control, UNLESS we're talking about books! Seems a bit obsessive. I always come up with some doosie excuses! Such as... It's not as if they're perishable, they aren't fattening, it's a cheaper way to travel the world, takes my mind off bad pain days (and every other day), reading expands knowledge and makes one wiser, it's cold out, it's hot out, it's too windy, and my favorite, books make me a happy clam!
I try not to look at NetGalley BUT four new titles have been approved!!
Finding Hannah by Fiona McCallum
Promise of Hunters Ridge by Sarah Barrie
Troubadour by Isolde Martyn
One Perfect Lie by Lisa Scottoline
The first three are Aussie authors!

The first three are Aussie authors!

The Ice Child $3 completes my collection of that series (now I just have to get around to reading them, LOL)
a lovely HB with DJ is almost pristine condition of The Birdman's Wife $2
and, for Veronica (?) Apprentice in Death $3

I'm so excited because I was granted Promise of Hunters Ridge by Sarah Barrie as well.
Holding off on requesting Finding Hannah till I read a few more from Netgalley.

Nice Marianne! I have some of the Lackbergs (some of them so old they're Kobo!) but haven't started reading them yet either. They are meant to be very good!

I looked at the Scottoline Brenda - but you have to wish for it so I didn't. So far I've been good with NetGalley this year and am restraining myself to four per month. The ones I've had have all been good so far!
I've been good too (so far) Carolyn - until suddenly there were four there that I didn't want to miss out on! lol I was actually surprised to get the Scottoline... St Martin's Press which is US or UK... Didn't really expect to be approved for that one :)

I did find One Perfect Lie by Lisa Scottoline at the library!
I'm rapidly approaching 1,000 books in my library! Seems I'm keen on reaching it. I do realize I'm supposed to be reading them!! You all are helping me add books, you know!
