Hi Renee, Our local library is delivering books while libraries are closed to people without internet access or who do not read e books. It is loosely based on favourite authors and genres. My first ten books are due to arrive today. I am interested to see what they gave chosen for me. Like a lucky dip.

Thanks Renee.
Well, it was like Christmas here this morning as the Doorstop library books arrived. For all those curious as to what I received,
which is the only one I have already read.Plus browsing through dh's pile there might be a couple of his I may read and vice versa too. Thrilled to bits with our haul.

There are two I've read (1 being the same one you have, the other Heart of the Cross which I loved!) I'll have to say you won't like Too Much Lip Dale. But the rest I don't know and I hope you love them all :) What a fabulous lot of books!
I already had my doubts about that one Brenda, but even if I only read half of the books, it’ll be worth it. Thought the lovely librarians did a great job. And to top off the day footy resumes on June 11.
I treated myself this morning and supported my local the "best little Bookshop in town" to buy this little gem 🤗 I can't wait to start it! It has sold out twice while I was waiting to get a copy! Now it's on my coffee table glaring at me 😍Phosphorescence: On Awe, Wonder and Things That Sustain You When the World Goes Dark by Julia Baird

Some really good picks there Dale.
In the end I discovered two I had already read Veronica, but still pretty happy with the choices so far. And it provided a bit of fun in our household,

It certainly provided some fun in our household, even if I didn't read as many as I thought initially I might. Dh seems to be doing well with his. Suspect his taste was a bit easier to pinpoint.
I couldn't help myself - I bought The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (Hunger Games prequel) today. I don't even know when I will get around to reading it! I just had to have it.
Veronica ⭐️ wrote: "I received a competition win yesterday. The Girl She Was by Rebecca Freeborn"Good for you Veronica. Hope you enjoy it.

Yesterday I ventured out to an op shop for the first time in nearly 3 months. Limits on numbers and social distancing included. I purchasedShowgirls, Teen Wolves, and Astro Zombies: A Film Critic's Year-Long Quest to Find the Worst Movie Ever Made for my nephew
This Old Thing: Fall in Love with Vintage Clothes
Tattoo Mystique: The Art and World of Angelique Houtkamp
The Secret History of Wonder Woman for a stitching friend
I went to the $2 shop in Corrimal looking for fingerless gloves (essential if I'm to walk outside and also turn the pages of my book) and got some for $2/pr, and at the street library, came away with Suitcase of Dreams and The Long Call
I went to my hairdresser yesterday [first time in months] and she gave me The Wife and the Widow Added bonus I always walk out feeling like a million bucks with one or two books to add to my TBR pile. :)

They're the books that have made the finals of the Hugo Awards. http://www.thehugoawards.orgIf you have a WorldCon membership, then you can download the Hugo Packet, which contains books provided by the authors/publishers. It's a lovely bonus of membership. But now I'm reading furiously, so I can vote in an informed manner. Some, of course, I've already read.
