Hi Renee, Our local library is delivering books while libraries are closed to people without internet access or who do not read e books. It is loosely based on favourite authors and genres. My first ten books are due to arrive today. I am interested to see what they gave chosen for me. Like a lucky dip.

Dale Harcombe | 6886 comments Well, it was like Christmas here this morning as the Doorstop library books arrived. For all those curious as to what I received,
After the Honeymoon by Janey Fraser
Buried in the Country (Cornish Mystery #4) by Carola Dunn
The Girls of August by Anne Rivers Siddons
Heart of the Cross by Emily Madden
The Summer House Party by Caro Fraser
The Things We Know Now by Catherine Dunne
Too Much Lip by Melissa Lucashenko
Fateful Voyage by Pamela Oldfield
The Corpse at the Crystal Palace (Daisy Dalrymple, #23) by Carola Dunn
The Secrets at Ocean's Edge by Kali Napier which is the only one I have already read.
Plus browsing through dh's pile there might be a couple of his I may read and vice versa too. Thrilled to bits with our haul.

There are two I've read (1 being the same one you have, the other Heart of the Cross which I loved!) I'll have to say you won't like Too Much Lip Dale. But the rest I don't know and I hope you love them all :) What a fabulous lot of books!

message 6160: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6886 comments I already had my doubts about that one Brenda, but even if I only read half of the books, it’ll be worth it. Thought the lovely librarians did a great job. And to top off the day footy resumes on June 11.

It certainly provided some fun in our household, even if I didn't read as many as I thought initially I might. Dh seems to be doing well with his. Suspect his taste was a bit easier to pinpoint.

If you have a WorldCon membership, then you can download the Hugo Packet, which contains books provided by the authors/publishers. It's a lovely bonus of membership. But now I'm reading furiously, so I can vote in an informed manner. Some, of course, I've already read.
