Between Us by Clare Atkins - Darwin author and set in Darwin - has won the 2019 Children’s BookCouncil of Australia older readers award - so I’m expecting a damn good read
The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley - another award winning YA book but USA not Australia
The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri - comes well recommended by a few friends that have my reading DNA
