You don't even know how far behind I am xD (super secret: I haven't finished the Harry Potter series yet)

It's okay, Juliet. I only read books 5-7 :P

Juliet | 345 comments Thank you! I feel better now. :P
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one. And it doesn't help that everyone assumes you've read it already and then you get spoiled on everything.

Bharvi | 699 comments Yeah. My friend once started something like a "spoil chain" for Look for Alaska

message 1356: by Juliet (new)

don't get spoiled for CP2. It will still be fantastic but don't spoil yourself!!

message 1358: by Juliet (new)

Juliet | 345 comments I'll try not to. I've already been spoiled on one death in CoHF and i'm only on City of Glass! People should really use (view spoiler)

quite true! Some groups have broad discussion threads on a series but I decided to make separate threads for each book so that we wouldn't have to worry about spoiling.

message 1360: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments Agreed! Even if the thread is about, say, CoHF, I still think people should use spoiler html. What if someone is in the middle of the book and wants to post their thoughts? They certainly don't want to see spoilers, haha.

And Rachel, don't worry about being behind on trends... I haven't read The Maze Runner trilogy or the Lunar Chronicles yet shhh

Bharvi | 699 comments What's CP2?

message 1362: by Rachel , The Attentive One (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 8842 comments Mod
Clockwork Princess. CP stands for Clockwork Prince so CP2 is Clockwork Princess :)

The Lunar Chronicles is so good!! Cinder was the first BOTM for this group :) I haven't read Maze Runner either... I hear it's great, and I hear it stinks. I don't know who to listen to xD

message 1365: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments @Rachel yeah, I'm planning to read Cinder really soon! Probably in August or September~ And same with Maze Runner, people have told me it's their new favorite book, and others were seconds away from burning it, so I don't know what to do xD

@Pikachu not anymore :P

Juliet | 345 comments I won't read The Maze Runner. I'm debating whether I should see it in theaters or not. :/ I guess I will check the reviews when the time comes.

Two words: Dylan O'brien.

Dylan O'brien on the hotness scale is like a 7/10 for me xD
edit: with glasses he's a 8.5/10

I just think he's extremely cute ;)

message 1374: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments He is rather good-looking, haha. Although I must say I was pretty annoyed when I was watching TFiOS in theaters and a huge gaggle of girls in the theater started squealing and giggling. Like, yeah, a lot of male actors are attractive, but some of us are trying to listen to the trailer xD

September 19th is the release date for the U.S.

I think I might! It doesn't seem like the book although I read that thing four years ago (oh god I sound so old...)

Haha, I read The Giver several years ago too, but I reread a few months ago. Agreed, they seem to have changed a lot of things, so I'm pretty hesitant, but too curious to not watch! The actor for Jonas looks way older than 12 :/

message 1385: by Rachel , The Attentive One (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 8842 comments Mod
Yeah he's more like 18. He's got a baby face though :)

message 1386: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (sammylancaster) | 134 comments ^^ I think it might be better with them older. I mean really, jobs decided at 12 years old. Doesn't sound that... eh.. convincing

message 1387: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (sammylancaster) | 134 comments And since the jobs kick off the novel...

message 1388: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments Haha, it is pretty surprising how the Community functions; maybe Lowry purposefully set the job age at very young to catch people's attention? I wonder if it'll be changed in the movie..

message 1389: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (sammylancaster) | 134 comments I think it might be changed. They're teens

message 1390: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (sammylancaster) | 134 comments Or maybe some flashback IDK

message 1391: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (reads4fun730) | 718 comments I think the age is 12 part for shock value & part to give them enough time to train.

message 1392: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments Very true Sarah~ The fact that this "summer movie" comes out AFTER my school starts up again is depressing xD

message 1393: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (poffium) | 401 comments I liked The Giver as a book but.. they're making the whole movie in color...which just ruins the purpose and plot

Wait it is? :/ I saw the second trailer and it was in black and white.

message 1395: by Rachel , The Attentive One (new)

Rachel (APCB Reviews) (gr8rach) | 8842 comments Mod
I'm guessing the beginning part is all in black and white. The society took away color...

message 1396: by Juliet (new)

Juliet | 345 comments I really hope so, already a lot of things are wrong in the trailers. (An alien spaceship? Really??)

message 1397: by Jordyn (new)

Jordyn | 216 comments I'm assistantless and more importantly friendless now that Lauren is gone):

message 1398: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (poffium) | 401 comments Right, but the guy (can't remember his name.
I haven't read the book in 4+ years) doesn't see color all the time. Just in spots, even when he can control it, he still doesn't see it all the time. But I heard a lot of it was in color that was disproportionate to the book.

message 1399: by Connie (new)

Connie (proseandconnie) | 1027 comments I'm not sure how they're going to execute the color thing. I've seen both color and black-and-white trailers...

message 1400: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (reads4fun730) | 718 comments I'm confused about the color thing too. I really wish they would have picked an actor closer to 12 too. Jonas looks like he's 19.
