This one's about DogNut. He's the weird one from the second book, right? I cant quite remember.

Starting this one in a few minutes. I need to finish it before Friday, for a team challenge, but I'm not sure how that's gonna go :/

Prologue (view spoiler)[So weird how he calls the kids his 'toys'. Also wonder whether it's that guy that killed his kid again, can't remember his name, but he was in the Enemy as well. Probably not, because there was nothing that stood out, apart from the fact that he's got cognitive skills. (hide spoiler)]

Oh yay it's set 5 days before The Dead finished.

Chapter 1 (view spoiler)[DogNut was one of the ones from that military camp, right? That the group joined up with in The Dead? I can't even really remember the characters or the relationships. Was that incident in his nightmare something that happened in The Dead? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 2 (view spoiler)[Coming back to me now. Aleisha and Courtney and Brooke. And Jordan Hordern is the leader from the Imperial War Museum right? And if I remember right, he's black? Not being racist or anything. I remember them mocking him for his name.
Is Ed one of the ones from the original group from The Dead? Just trying to reorient myself so I can get my head back in with things. (hide spoiler)]

I probably won't be able to read any more today. I've got heaps of reading for uni to do, and I'm going for my full license this afternoon. I'll read a lot more tomorrow because I'm bussing in and out of uni, so I'll proably get another 100 pages read.

Okay, I'm 20 chapters

The beginning of this book says it starts 5 days before the END of the one before this and that one was 1 year before The Enemy right? Let me go check lol Yes, The Enemy was one year after The Dead.....I know, and I barely remember The Enemy. I remember most of the Dead but not the whole cast of characters

I'm completely open to reading them whenever you can....My library has them all so it's easy for me to get them

Mothers and Fathers(view spoiler)[ why are so many of them intelligent. This is definitely a change from the first book and then the 2nd book. I know the 2nd book they thought the adults were maybe starting to display group mentality but this one is definitely showing us an adult who likes to collect "toys" and a mom licking a window wishing she could taste the kids
it's awful to think they still fully think and comprehend things. ugh (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 29 (view spoiler)[Sad about Olivia :( They finally found Paul and Olivia's dead :( Also not sure if this Museum was in the other books. I can't remember it. Crazy to think that there's sooo many groups of kids left, yet they'd never noticed before. Almost unrealistic :/

Father St George is back! Wonder when we'd see him again. Weird how we've now got him, the Collector and that weird mother to remember. (hide spoiler)] Also not sure if I like having a new group to remember in each book. Wish he'd get a set of characters and stick with them.

Ugh(view spoiler)[ so many thinking adults. it's confusing me because I thought the first group - the first book - the adults were shambles of barely walking people. So did they deteriorate? or did they misunderstand how much thinking they could do? (hide spoiler)]

I'm aiming to read 100 pages a day, because I need to get this finished by Friday, but I may read more than 100 today. I'll see. That'd be nice.

May we be able to read The Sacrifice straight after this one, like next week sometime? It'd count for me #4 in a series for my weekly challenge. Would that be okay with you? And then maybe 2-3 weeks after that we could read The Fallen, so it'd count for #5? :p I'm really basing my reading around that, lately.
