Heidi (heidimsimone) | 8 comments I actually just joined - wahoo! Hopefully, I'll have a chance to read March's book before March is over. If not, I'll contribute anyway and prepare for the next month's book!

Amy | 13 comments Hello, my copy never arrived off Amazon and I cannot get it on Kindle or at the library/book shop. Would anyone be willing to ship their copy to Vancouver, Canada? I would be willing to pay :)

Donna | 8 comments I have just started reading this book, as I had to wait for delivery, but am finding it very interesting and it's good to remind ourselves of what is basically good common sense! Sometimes, it just needs to be spelt out to remember basic respect and empathy go a long way to understanding each other and to always be true to yourself.
Thank you for recommending this book. Prior to this book, I was reading Bad Feminist by Roxanne Gay, which is also a good read and very thought provoking. It prompted a lot of good intelligent discussion with my male partner

I agree Joann....I have been so guilty of facilitating patriarchy in the past, this book has really made me sit up and think....I have already made a lot of changes, but am aware that I have a long way to go.

Maeve (mepwave) | 7 comments This book is phenomenal. I just kept wanting to shout "YES! YES YES YES!" over and over again. I hope having read it I can be more forthright in discussing love, in all its contexts, in a more sincere way with depth. Thank you so much for selecting this book as it was just what I needed to read. I love how bell hooks was able to speak openly about her faith without being preachy as well as addressing the importance of a community of love. I adored this book and will want to read it again. It was worth hunting down in hard copy.

Magda | 52 comments I finished the book kind of late (last week) But i totally Loved it! I was so into every chapter, I read each one twice; the way Bell Hooks think and describe love in different fields in life made me realize certain aspects of my personality.

I have to say that I havent read a book like this before, so specific about community, couple, family, women, etc.

I got really passionate about Bell Hook's perspective of love, I Loved this book so bad!
