Someone mentioned a kids book to me which sounded interesting, but information other than the main topic I could not get.. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a shot here anyway.
So it's a book about a kid who is a giant in one land and a normal/small kid in another.

Gulliver travels is the most similar one I can think of.
It isn't child level but often books from this age will get listed as such.

Gulliver's Travels, especially the section in Lillput, has also been adapted and readapted many times, so could have easily been read as a children's book.
