ABANDONED. Children's Books where you made choices or solved puzzles; there was a Halloween version and some kind of robot/laboratory version

I don't have too much information to go on here, but when I was in primary school there was a series of puzzle books I believe, or books where you made choices and you would progress through the book, there was a Halloween version and some kind of robot/laboratory version as well as a few others, the books weren't long and were for children, it has been bugging me for years what these books were and was wondering if anyone could help me out, thanks.
