For several months now I've been wanting to read a book by this author but never had the time until now! This was a really good book, I read it mainly because it worked for a reading challenge and it was pretty short (I loved that I was able to finish it in under four hours!) I liked the story, but I don't feel like I ever really connected with the characters, I liked Tom but didn't really care for Jo, I don't really know why but I guess I felt that at times she was a bit too wishy-washy for my tastes, I was also very surprised at how long it took before she showed any emotion over her Mother's death. I loved how many couples found love through Tom's Fruitcake Challenge, and I will say that when reading the final chapter the story made me so happy that I had the biggest grin on my face! I'm glad I read The Fruitcake Challenge and I LOVED the author's writing style so I am very much looking forward to reading more of her books!
