Mini-Challenge Overview & General Rules

P. S. The TBR Challenge can play with any other challenge, since it's purpose was to help people read the books they already own.
Rules have been edited to include the fact that Group Read books can now be used in Mini-Challenges. These challenges seem to have taken on a bigger place in the life of the group, so the Mods decided that it makes sense to use them to encourage Group Reads.

Hi, Linda. You'll find it in the Mini Challenge folder. Titled SUMMER BINGO 2016 (Karen's Original).
- Each mini-challenge has its own set of rules and completion date. These are posted at the beginning of the thread. Please take the time to read about the mini-challenge you join.
- The Year-Long Minis and Bingos lend themselves to cross-listing. Simply because they are so long and require a level of commitment. Feel free to list titles across the year-long minis. This should maximize your ability to join several mini-challenges if you choose to do so.
- The single-book/one month mini-challenges (mini-minis) are NOT designed to play well with others. There should be no cross-listing with these. They are designed to be an extra little perk each month to keep things fresh and exciting. But they are stand-alone minis.
- There are a few "middle-sized" minis, such as the Bingos and the seasonal mini-challenges. You may choose to cross-list things from these minis with the year-long challenges but not with other "middle-sized" minis or mini-minis.
- Group Read books can be used either with the monthly minis OR with the longer mini-challenges. The participation in Group Reads has fallen off so much that we're hoping to encourage more members to get involved there again.
- You may choose to create a Personal Goal thread in that folder to help you keep track of any/all of the challenges you join. (I have.) But please check in on the mini-challenge threads from time to time. One of the advantages of doing these with a group is that we encourage each other and celebrate our successes.
- There is a thread in the Mini-Challenge folder for questions. Feel free to ask about anything which seems unclear and to pose ideas for future challenges.
