Gorab, see-
"This "catcher in the rye" is an analogy for Holden, who admires in children attributes that he struggles to find in adults, like innocence, kindness, spontaneity, and generosity. Falling off the cliff could be a progression into the adult world that surrounds him and that he strongly criticizes. Later, Phoebe and Holden exchange roles as the "catcher" and the "fallen"; he gives her his hunting hat, the catcher's symbol, and becomes the fallen as Phoebe becomes the catcher"

Interesting. I was wondering about the title of the book when Holden heard the kid singing the song.

According to GR, 4 stars means "really liked it".

Heard the name, but -what a shame- not a single song.
Tried the one you mentioned. Was okay. Honestly I didn't like it. Then tried the one Gorab mentioned. That was nice.

I tried to read that poem "when a body meets a body...", but couldn't.
It was-perhaps- in Early Modern English.

BTW, what about your book?
As far as I remember, it's about Jill, Eustace and a captured prince, isn't it?
Are you liking it?

"Giving Jane a buzz made me feel yellow and all... so much that I almost puked. For I'm goddam sure that no good sonuvabitch Stradlater must have given her the time. Which gave me those corny creeps. I so much wanted to give Jane a buzz. I really meant to. Only thing is, I couldn't. And that killed me!"

Yeah... that is not one of their famous songs... listen to Boulevard of Broken Dreams, or Time of your life, or Jesus of suburbia, or 21st century breakdown, or best of all 21 guns!

Holi vacation...but didn't touch the colours. Actually my brother was also home and I met my cousin-cum-friend after a long time (almost 3-4 months. not that long, huh?), so it was pretty much a reunion. Overall, had a good time.
