SOLVED. Tornado destroys main characters life [s]

There's a tornado that goes through main characters house. She was by herself when the tornado hit and the whole neighborhood is trashed. She finds out her little sister is dead and so is her mom and the only memory she has of them is gum and her moms black purse and lipstick. Her dad tries to take care of her and they stay in a motel but the dad gals into depression. So the dad sends teen off to a family where everyone hates her and there are two sisters who bully the teen and one day they lock her in the basement. The teen gets so fed up with being treated so poorly, that when she finds the sisters messing with her moms lipstick, she claws the lipstick off the little girls face.
