Up to chapter 15 (view spoiler)[ i loved the raw emotion that Cassandra Clare managed to portray when Julian had been shot by the arrow and Emma was trying to save him, realising that she could lose him. I definitely thought that Christina was interested in Mark until she saw him with Keiran, I wonder why parabatai's are forbidden from falling in love with each other? I wonder what the Lottery performance is going to be and why the whole element seems so shady? (hide spoiler)]

I was thinking oh no not another girl I want emma to end up with him he is such a tortured sole but then Christina spied him with Keiran. That was just so unexpected for me as he was not giving of those kind of vibes at all.
Can you imagine if parabati could be together and they fall out of love that would be a disaster. I fully understand why they can not be together as it would only ever work out for a very small percentage.

I'll be honest here when I read the prologue, I literally had no idea Cassandra Clare wrote THAT. For some reason, it didn't feel like her writing. That is, until I got to the next chapter. Emma certainly isn't the little girl I met in City of Heavenly Fire.

Chapters 2-3
I do like the friendship between Cristina & Emma. And I do believe Emma is in love with her Parabatai even if she doesn't see it.

So far, I've seen Church the cat, Julian conflicted, Emma and her need for revenge, and Mark as mentally broken as can be...damn faeries.

Raised kids while being kids themselves I see no immaturity in them AT ALL.
