Group Series Read Rules & Regulations

Hi everyone! Here are the rules for our NEW "Group Series Reads"! Please read these rules and regulations before nominating a series!

1. Any member, new or old, may nominate a series.

2. Authors are not permitted to nominate their own series. If an author nominates their series for the group read, it will not be included in the poll. If we allowed this practice we’d get nothing but authors nominating and voting for their own books.

3. Each member may nominate 1 series ONLY, which can be either Adult or Young Adult. The series must be 10 books or less! If an 11th book is coming out the year we would begin reading the series, it will not be eligible for nomination. Our reason for using a limit at all, is to keep the amount of time the group is on one series down. Remember that a 10 book series will equate to 30 weeks, more than half the year!

4. In keeping with the theme of our group, all series nominated should be paranormal/urban fantasy in nature.

5. Any series that does not meet nomination requirements will be removed, without notice, from the nomination thread for the sake of clarity.

6. Polling for our group series read will begin after the nomination process has ended. An email will go out to all members when the poll becomes active. It can also be accessed by clicking the "Polls" link in the group menu to the right.

7. Once the series has been selected, we will give adequate time for members to get access to the first book in the series. A discussion post will be started for the series in the Group Series Reads folder. There will only be 1 thread for each series we read, and we will update it as we go along. You may post, comment and discuss the books here, making sure to hide spoilers.

8. We will spend 3 weeks reading and discussing a book before moving on to the next in the series. Try your hardest not to move ahead, so that we can all stay together as a group!
