I think my review would serve for discussion... the book is poorly written, somewhat scattered, impatient, out of touch...
at the same time, we watch a fictional character slide into depression, a misstep and then some serious problems... funny that these west texas people seem to recognize passible depression though absent that insight, they seem rather unconcerned with the psychology of behavior
