I hate having overprotective parents

why are my parents still overprotective??? I am 18 YEARS old, I am a LEGAL adult.

I had to leave my chats on twitter and Insta because of them

I will be back in those chats in a couple of days

but those ppl are like a family to me

They understand me and they'd been there so many times for me

I don't wanna lose those ppl

I'm breaking inside and Idk what to do

I hate happiness

I want to be happy

but everytime I'm happy it doesn't last long

I want to be with my friends my true friends even if they are so far away from me

Yes there are bad ppl on the internet but not everyone is bad

I once thought about running away cause of the overprotectiveness but I can't

I can't take the overprotectiveness

I love my parents but they go to far with their overprotectiveness

I love taking risks

I want to be able to take risks and make mistakes because other wise I won't learn

it's okay to be protective but not TOO over protective

I need my freedom to be able to do whatever I want

Exactly!! tho I have rebelled and I continued to go on the internet and talk to my friends on here but still....I wish my parents will understand....

that's one of the reason I want to go to LA

because I can experience things and learn from them, yes there will be challenges but I'll learn from them

and I can't rely on others all the times because there are some things that I have to do by myself

and other ppl won't be there all the time and my parents can't be there all the time

being overprotective doesn't actually help the kids because they have to learn how the world works and stuff

it's been two months since I talked to him, except when on the anime club chat on kik, I said that my cousin illegally downloaded photoshop and Jon responded to it, and I wished him happy birthday in the chat but that's it
