Thank you so much for "Maze Runner" choice. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a different genre and have read few books of that kind. I have to finish the series soon.

1. Costa Rica:
TBR- The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner- Set in jungle or forest

Rate- *****

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Cecily,

Finished my 2nd and 3rd picks
Fire Touched (Mercy Thompson, #9) by Patricia Briggs and Outtakes from the Grave (Night Huntress, #7.5) by Jeaniene Frost

Liked them both!

I will try to get another one in...but not sure.

Thanks again for the great picks!

Danielle Gypsy Soul (afdaniellet) | 1086 comments Kristin,

Wow I got through 4 of your picks this month.

Someone to Watch Over Me (Bow Street Runners, #1) by Lisa Kleypas - 4.5 stars (I really enjoyed this book even though I don't read a lot of historical romance)

On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young - this was weird for me. I really liked it even though it had some serious editing/dialogue issues. I gave it 4 stars and yet I have no desire to continue the series.

Offside (The Barker Triplets, #1) by Juliana Stone and Scrumptious (Sexy Chefs, #1) by Amanda Usen - both solid 3 star books that I enjoyed.

Thanks for the picks

MountainKat | 31763 comments Hey Fran - I haven't had a chance to come back here and update, but I've read several of my picks! I'll get back to let you know, but I wanted to say thanks again before the month ends and things get too crazy here!

message 160: by Brett (new)

Brett | 478 comments I finished my last pick for this month, Iced (Fever, #6) by Karen Marie Moning . I knew what I was in for when I started reading it, but I could not get over Dani being 14 and the adult situations she was getting in with adult males. But I still want to continue the series.

Brett-I'm glad you enjoyed The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah . I was surprised by how much I liked it. Iced (Fever, #6) by Karen Marie Moning is my least favorite of the series--I'm reading the new one now. With Dani, I look at it as "war" makes people do strange things. The current one explains some things.

:D The series gets better as it progresses. I loved it from the start but the first two books are the weakest and least 'exciting' in my opinion. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

message 164: by Kaity (last edited Mar 26, 2016 11:20PM) (new)

Kaity | 492 comments fleurette, I've finished my 3rd and 4th picks :)

Lessons Learned - Not my favorite Nora Roberts book by a long shot but this was a nice, quick read. I added your other Roberts' pick to my TBR (Sea Swept). It sounds really good :)

Everything and the Moon - I swapped out your rec of the second in the series for this one since I'm obsessive about reading series in order. I really, really enjoyed this book and I hate miscommunications and relationship drama. I fell so in love with Victoria and Robert though and the author's storytelling ability made it a wonderful read that I'm so glad I didn't skip over. :D Thanks for the pick! I'm looking forward to Ellie's story in Brighter Than the Sun.

Lessons Learned (Great Chefs, #2) by Nora Roberts Everything and the Moon (The Lyndon Sisters, #1) by Julia Quinn

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Cecily,

Read my 4th pick Stolen Course (Wrecked and Ruined, #2) by Aly Martinez -it was good!

Thanks again!

message 166: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments MountainKat-finished Feverborn. Reading along, reading along--okay it's time to wrap all this up then BAM BAM BAM surprises. Ending on a cliffhanger (again) but oh a good one.

fleurette | 287 comments Kait wrote: "fleurette, I've finished my 3rd and 4th picks :) "

I'm glad you liked your picks!
Lessons Learned was also not my favourite from Nora Roberts, I prefer her longer ones and Sea Swept is the one I like the most.

Julia Quinn has absolutely unique writing style, she can write her stories light and funny without making them silly.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I haven't read beyond the original set of books that ended with Shadowfever. I'm sure I'll get back to it someday though.

Hey Danielle,
Wow you got through a lot of them this month! I'm glad you seemed to enjoy most and gave all at least 3 stars :)

I really liked Someone to Watch Over Me too so I'm glad you gave that one the highest stars.

message 170: by Madison ✨ (new)

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hi Masoodah!

I only got to one pick this month, Obsidian..but I ended up reading Onyx and starting Opal right afterwards. I haven't read paranormal as much recently so it was enjoyable to get back into a story featuring alien-like beings. This one was good, thanks for the recommendation! I've added the others to my "to read" shelf so hopefully I get to pick them up at some point! :)

Thanks!
Kristin

Nancy H | 1113 comments Hi Tink Magoo,
I have finished Slow Dancing on Dinosaur Bones: A Novel Slow Dancing on Dinosaur Bones A Novel by Lana Witt and it was really good - so much better than I expected and a very unusual book.

I have started The Brightest Star in the Sky The Brightest Star in the Sky by Marian Keyes and it is also very good. I don't think I will get it finished by the end of the month but I am going to finish it anyway.

In fact, I am planning to read several more of your picks for me. I just couldn't get them all done this month. Thanks for such good picks, though, and for adding even more to my huge TBR - lol!
