I have indeed read him. He writes both YA and adult and I love his writing for both ages. I've read most of his work. I read some before I joined Goodreads, but here's my list:

You'd have to check BPL for YA shelving.

It is YA, and a low Lexile. (I have my tabs open, getting ready to do a session, so it was easy to check.)

Novel: The Fifth Heart
Short stories: Prayers to Broken Stones
Non-fiction: Summer Sketches
Also contributed an essay in Jack Vance: Critical Appreciations and a Bibliography

I'm not coming up with information on Summer Sketches for non-fiction, have you got a link that clarifies ?

I see what you mean, neither GR nor Worldcat list a genre. I was going by what the two GR reviewers wrote.
If Summer Sketches won't work, will his essay contribution in Jack Vance: Critical Appreciations and a Bibliography count for a nonfiction publication? His essay titled "Jack Vance: Dragon Master" is published in that book.
Also here is a link to his bibliography on his author website:
(Which clarifies that Summer Sketches is non-fiction)

Apologies, should have checked his page, but in my defense, I get on at 5am, and if I haven't finished my coffee my brain isn't bouncing yet :p
Approved.

According to his Wiki page:
"...was a French poet, novelist, and dramatist of the Romantic movement..... In France, Hugo's literary fame comes first from his poetry and then from his novels and his dramatic achievements."

Approved, although I think as his political speeches have also been published he may also be considered for non-fiction as well!

According to her Wiki page, Helen has written novels, short stories and plays."
Yes!
and yes for A.M. Homes, also.

Yes, indeed!

Can also approve her for 10.8 as she has taught in France - so have a two-for one!

From Wiki:
"Tessa Jane Hadley ... is a British author of novels, short stories and non-fiction."

Adding to the list!

According to Wikipedia she wrote two auto bios, novels and short stories.

No, but somebody else may have. He writes YA, so maybe Karen Michele?
I've had Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe on my wishlist for a while and just saw the ebook on sale, so I grabbed it :)
