Yes. I love it when wiki has the list of various forms in the menu!

Rebekah (bekalynn) Does writing an afterward or intro to another author's book count as non-fiction or essay?

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14245 comments Rebekah wrote: "Does writing an afterward or intro to another author's book count as non-fiction or essay?"

No, that would not be enough to qualify for this task.

Bea Jeffery Deaver

His website lists novels, short stories and other projects. I have linked the "other projects" page where you will find at the bottom a non-fiction book on law school and at the top an audio play.

Do you know if he has published a short story collection or if at least one of his stories has been included in an anthology? The press articles and reviews won't qualify, but as a scriptwriter, that is one of the forms.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14245 comments Tien wrote: "Rolf Boldrewood aka Thomas Alexander Brown

I need some help here. We see these as two different authors. Can you tell me if both or only one (and which, if one) published in 3 or more forms?

message 322: by Tien (new)

Tien (tiensblurb) | 3110 comments Sorry, Elizabeth... it seems all the books are published under Rolf Boldrewood:

In 1884 Old Melbourne Memories, a book of reminiscences of the eighteen-forties was published at Melbourne, "by Rolf Boldrewood, author of My Run Home, The Squatter's Dream and Robbery Under Arms"

Novels: My Run Home, The Squatter's Dream, Robbery Under Arms

Autobiography: Old Melbourne Memories

Short stories:
In Bad Company & Other Stories -Trove record
A Romance of Canvas Towns & Other Stories - Trove record

When I searched for these on Google images, all books have printed 'Rolf Boldrewood' as author.

Sorry, didn't think this wasn't straightforward!

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14245 comments Ah, so we don't have Browne at all. Yes, to Rolf Boldrewood.

Rosemary | 4299 comments Elizabeth Von Arnim? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabe...

Looking at her Select Bibliography, most of them are novels, but All the Dogs of My Life is autobiography and The April Baby's Book of Tunes is a children's book.

We consider children's books to be of the same forms as adults books, not a second form.

The wikipedia entry is a "selected" bibliography. Perhaps there is another place to look for a complete listing that might qualify her for this task.

message 326: by Rosemary (new)

Rosemary | 4299 comments Ah, OK. I looked at Fantastic Fiction but it looks like only novels and that one autobiographical book. Never mind, it was only for a combo.

An author needs to have originally published all of the forms under the same name.

Joanna (walker) | 2307 comments Let's talk about Seán O'Casey.

He's mostly known as a dramatist (plays). The Complete Plays Of Sean O'casey

But he also has a famous autobiography (nonfiction) Sean O'Casey - Autobiographies

But other places have also referenced poetry: Windfalls: Stories, Poems, and Plays -- says it includes 11 poems

Is that enough poetry to qualify him here?

For Andre Gide, scroll to bottom of article and it lists his works.

I posted this link in the socializing thread, in the 10.8, 20.5, and 20.6 threads on March 22. We keep a list in the database, so that is the list that gets added to. I post "added" or somesuch so the member making the request will know that it has been seen and approved.
