It is time to start nominations for our Spring group reads. We will probably take March off, and look at selecting books for April and May discussions.

What would you like to read for a REGULAR GROUP READ discussion read this spring? These can be new releases, older releases, popular books, thought provoking books, non-fiction books, etc.

If you nominate a book, you must be willing to lead the discussion if the book is selected.

I thought we did that one about two years ago. I know I read it with one of my GR groups and I thought it was this one.

We did read Brooklyn in spring 2012, but if enough people who didn't participate then want to read it now (since it just came out as a movie) then I don't mind if it is one of the group reads for spring. :-)

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) It was a good movie

Patricia I would like to nominate The Cove. I've been wanting to read one of his books for awhile.

Time to vote! I've set up a poll which will run until March 10th. We will plan on reading the top two vote-getters.

Our next two group reads will be....

A Constellation of Vital Phenomena by Anthony Marra, discussion leader Irene.

Pavilion of Women: A Novel of Life in the Women's Quarters by Pearl S. Buck, discussion leader Petra. And since this one is an oldie, we will call it a combined monthly read/classic read.

Irene, your book received the most votes so we will do it first. When would you like to start? If the first of April doesn't work for you, you are welcome to pick any date that works best, as long as you give everyone a few weeks to get their hands on a copy.

Jennifer W | 2175 comments Since I notoriously lag behind in group reads, I picked up Constellation at the library yesterday. Look forward to getting into it!

message 19: by Irene (new)

Irene | 4587 comments Let me look at the book and figure out a reading schedule.
