I dunno... Gimme the Archies over any of those Disney Channel/Nickelodeon castoffs pestering the Billboard charts these days.

VickiLee I am listening to the wind outside of my open window. There are times when this type of sound soothes me.

CD | 1577 comments There's a really bad football game providing background noise at the moment. I know it is bad because there's nobody 'watching' it.

The neighbors (me too) have just all been hanging out in our yards today. Really bad Sunday football . . .

Yes, it is sort of Bears territory. Though we do have more than a few Packer and Colt fans around. Those of us who are not die hard Chi fans at least have something to cheer about.

CD | 1577 comments The Emergency Scanner.

With iffy road and weather conditions, it may prove interesting before the evening is through. Or hopefully it will be quiet. Not so much so far. Several things happening, little of it is directly weather related.

CD | 1577 comments Easter is on cue ready for the post midnight annual reverie.

Vinyl.
Thorens reference table.
Moving coil.
Class A amplification. Valves of course. Capacitors bigger than the oil filter in your car.
Straight wire with gain so to speak.
Very custom speakers.

The way Patti Smith was meant to be heard. Loud and the only distortion, hers.

If you don't understand this, just be thankful if your hearing is mostly intact. I can fix that . . . :)

If political correctness is your thing, look away NOW! Vive le Canada...

With a voice like this, not even Jack White could screw it up.

Very Ramonesque. Maybe better musicians, but fast, loud, and stripped down. That is, the Forgotten Rebels, not Wanda.
