Thirteen Reasons Why
question
what made this book so intriguing?

the suspense, wanting to know what is going to happen next; or even better, who is next.

I agree. Along with the very ending with the main character running after Sky or Skylar because she was starting to show signs, and you want to know if she ever ends being ok. The ending in general was kinda ambiguous, but it leaves room for possibilities.

I, personally, think a lot of people may have been waiting for the end to see...is she going to come back to life?/Did she even actually die?/Is she still alive? I know that was what I was thinking when I read this.
This book was really good. I think the best part about it was the suspense definitely and also the fact that it targeted suicide as the main topic. It shows readers how badly people are affected by a suicide in their life and it exposes that to others. The suspense definitely comes from the question of 'Who will be next?' I think Clay's tape was the most suspenseful of course. I also liked the fact that with each tape, Clay had a different place to travel. It made you feel like you were a part of the story and standing right there with Clay. Overall, it was a very powerful book.
