Hello!
I'm Ellie, and last year I found out about the award nominees a little too late to participate, but I'm really looking to joining in this time round and reading things I wouldn't usually pick up :D

Hello everyone! I am one of the judges, Kaitlin, and my channel is: Kitty G and I am very happy to be back for round #2 of the BooktubeSFF Awards.
I have already nominated most of my works but I need to find one more short fiction so I may read some of the ones you listed Elizabeth and then edit my nomination (which you can do by returning to the nominations form before it closes on the 22nd) if I find something else worthy :)

I read almost anything with a strong preference for science fiction and fantasy. I'm looking forward to another great year of readalongs this BooktubeSFF awards season :)

I feel like I represent a lot of the average every day type of fantasy and science fiction reader. I love epic fantasy, the more detailed the better, and really imaginative complex science fiction. I'm not a huge idea and theme guy but I love good world-building. I focus more on plot than a lot of SFF booktubers that review and I can get annoyed easily by an author that ignores tight plotting. I'm the type of guy that will take a mediocre book with an amazing ending over an amazing book with a mediocre ending.
I'm really looking forward to reading some awesome books and discussing them with everyone.

It's my second year nominating books for the Booktube SFF and since 2015 was such a great years in terms of books published, and I can't wait to see the shortlist!

Hey, I'm Jane from yesmissjane (https://www.youtube.com/user/yesmissjane) and I love SF, so will be taking part again! I am trying to (quickly! Before nominations close!) collate a useful list of works eligible for nomination. If everyone could take a minute to look at what I have so far and tell me which of your favourites I'm missing, I would really appreciate it. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Excited to watch another year of awards unfold. For all the books I can nominate there will be a bunch that I'm looking forward to reading.

I already voted and realized, that I somehow managed to read no sf books published last year. So I nominated only short stories. I guess reading the shortlist will be a great way to catch up to the books I missed last year.

I read mostly fantasy, but also some science fiction. I look for books with great characters and a writing style that pleases me: some of my favourites are Robin Hobb and Susanna Clarke. I tend to like slower books, like The Goblin Emperor. I'm a big fan of alternate magical Regency (fantasy of manners) and political/court intrigue fantasy.
I'm looking forward to the Awards, I had a lot of fun last year. I hope I have enough time to read all the shortlisted books in the shorter time we have this year!

I haven't read tons of science fiction or fantasy in my lifetime beyond HP and LOTR, so they're both genres that are still pretty new to me. I'm excited to discover some great recommendations and jump into the genres a bit more! :)

So happy the awards are happening again this year! I'm Otavio and my channel is The Galilean Library.
I read a mostly even split of Fantasy and Science Fiction, generally in the adult age-range, with some Literary Fiction, Mysteries and Horror peppered in here and there.
Hey everyone, Thomas here from SFF180. So I'm a judge this year again, and my website is nearly 15 years old, which blows my mind. Pretty soon it will be staying out too late and asking for the carkeys.

I'm so happy this is happening again this year. I had a lot of fun reading some the nominees on the shortlist last year and look forward to participating in some new readalongs. I don't have a ton of time to dedicate to reading so it is always nice to see what other people are enjoying and to get involved in some bookish discussions!

I didn't get to participate as I would've liked last year. I'm really looking forward to this year's discussions

I'm Katie :) I have a booktube channel where I talk mainly abou SFF and historical fiction: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtNx.... I'm planning to post some of the booktube sff babble there this year. I really enjoyed the awards last year and cannot wait to follow along again this year!

I do not have a Youtube channel (though I'm seriously debating starting one), but I AM a Readers Advisory Librarian at an incredible library. I also read a ton of books, and most recently I've become more interested in Sci Fi and Fantasy. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all of the books chosen this year!

I am very excited about the SFF awards for 2016! Hopefully I will find some gems in Science Fiction and Fantasy that I didn't get to read last year and see some of the great works in both genres get some much-deserved recognition!
