Every month we will be reading a fiction and non-fiction book. One book will be the the primary reading, and the other will be an optional read. What do you want to read next month?

Rules for recommendations: You may only make one book recommendation for each category: fiction, and non-fiction.

Alternatively, you can simply second another's pick.

Hi Sam!

Sorry for my lack of participation, but I'm ready to get this thing going!

My two recommendations for this month are: 1) Non-fiction: When Breath Becomes Air; 2) Fiction: Sabbath's Theater or Under the Volcano

David | 1 comments Hi Everyone!

Brand new to the group. Love the recommendations so far. Might I suggest...

Fiction: All the Kings Men, by Robert Penn Warren (A classic story of political uprising via populism anyone? A prospos of, uh hm, now.)

Non-Fiction: Notes Towards the Definition of Culture, by T. S. Elliot (A discussion of the concept and application of "culture" by the mind behind The Waste Land)

Thanks again guys for the chance to participate! Looking forward to the discussions.

Best,

David

Love these recommendations, David! Sam, can we get these added to the poll for our next vote? Maybe then we can set up a timeframe for suggestions and when votes are due each month?
