I've been having a hard time getting into this book! I'm only about 100 pages in and I'm pretty bored but think it has potential so I'll stick with it (just slow)

This book is so dull and boring... It's taken me WAY too long to get through it.. I am considering ditching it but I have a hard time doing that.. Hopefully it picks up in the last 20%

So basically this book was a flatline from start to finish


I just don't even know what to say about what I just read because I just... couldn't care less? I dunno.. not a fan of the writing style at all. Kinda all over the place and scattered.. A lot of chapters that weren't necessary.. 2.2 out of 5 stars

Started it yesterday and quickly became curious as to why Melinda had called the cops on this party. I've yet to get to that part but it's getting interesting.. This 9th graders seems to be more involved and outgoing than when I was a freshman... I feel bad for Melinda. But what happened??? Must keep reading...

Overall it was ok... I think that through tragedy you can also make long lasting friends. But the true friends are the ones that will listen to you first... Melinda got more than she hoped for and through words (some hers, some not) her slate got cleaned...

I'm just surprised no one cares to here why because they were just upset it was cancelled. I hope that's not the reason why Rachel isn't friends with her anymore. (hide spoiler)]

48% (view spoiler)[ This book is okay so far in my opinion. You can tell that Andy has some part in the party and what happened with why she called the cops. I don't understand why no one asks her questions or anything to why she acts certain ways (hide spoiler)] I will probably finish today.

I did enjoy this book and in the end I'm happy Melinda stood up for herself, but some of the situations to me were unrealistic. I think I had too high of expectations for this book and they were crushed a little bit. I'm happy I read it, but it didn't hit me the way I thought it would. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[For such a short book I thought I would have flew through this, but it took a bit of time as I wasn't completely captivated by the story. It felt like a whole lot of nothing happened. I was confused initially with what had happened to make the other students be so cruel towards Melinda. I was pleased with the ending where Melinda finally spoke up and stuck up for herself when Andy tried to attack her again. There wasn't enough character development which made me not feel any connection to the main character.
