Anthologies or single author collections?

Which do you prefer? I sometimes find anthologies a little jarring with the different styles from story to story. I find single author collections give a good idea of an authors style and whether I will read more from them.

I like both, for different reasons. Anthologies expose me to many different authors whom I might not otherwise get to "meet."

My preference is Anthologies as I am normally more confident I'll find at least a few new voices that I would like to read more of. That way all my eggs aren't in one blanket.

If I want to read a lot of one particular author I would prefer to read something longer form like a novel or novella.
