Just a few more minutes!!! And then we're off! :-))
Happy reading everyone! :-)
Once you're finished with a book, please post here with title, finish date and which cards it could work for. Thanks!
BOOK FINISHED
1 MarchCard 1 - 1st in series
Card 4 - author F - Rhys Ford
Card 6 - title S - Sinner's Gin
Skip - character K - Kane Morgan
Yay, first finished book! With those options, I used it for the Draw 2 in Hand Three - Skip and 6. Which then leaves us with 2 more Draw 2 cards we need taken care off.
How is that even possible...My countdown clock shows me that I have to wait for 6 hours before I can even start a book :D
You are reading machines... lol
Euh... why does it show you that you still have to wait a bit?! That's odd... The countdown clock is universal. And the starting point was 6 hours ago. o.O

You've got the cards right, yes! :-)The book actually also works for card 8 with the first name of the character, so I used it for the Draw 2 card (card 1 and 8) in Hand Eleven.

Skip - Character Patch
Added it to the sheet as the second Draw 2 card in hand eight for now=)

And? What did you make of it? Did you like Woolf? ;-)
Keep the books coming, ladies! :-) We're doing well already for just a few days of challenge!I'm going to finish two books this weekend:
and
.And then I'll see what I'm going to start next as I have a few book calls today and tomorrow. It's part of the fun of challenges for me, trying to combine as many tasks as possible in one single book.
Don't forget to head over to this thread to share a little book memory :-)Also, if you're interested in seeing where teams are currently ranking with points, you can check this spreadsheet. (I'll add the link to the first page so you can easily find it again.)

I did enjoy and I liked him for the most part. Bridger's story is what I want, he was interesting. As was the epilogue with Cain.
The epilogue with Cain had my eyebrows rising with every sentence! (view spoiler)Bridger's story I would like to read as well; he seems like an interesting character. Though I kept reading Badger... >.>

Completion Post
Sõdur Ivan Tšonkini elu ja ebatavalised seiklused I by Vladimir Voinovich
English version called: The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin
Read date: 5 March
Rating: 4 stars
How it fits: Hand one - draw two (5 and 7)
This book was unbelievable (satiric fiction), but you have to remind yourself that this really was life in Russia and Soviet Union when Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union (outbreak of World War II).
Laugh or cry about it, but between the lines is hidden the ugly truth and the absurdity of Soviet life - no wonder the book was prohibited in Russia.
Sounds like an interesting book actually! I'm not usually a fan of satire, but when it's well done it can be quite good. (It's easier when you know beforehand that you can't take it all at face value.)
BOOK COMPLETE
5 mar2 - 2nd in series
4 - F author - Rhys Ford
6 - S setting - San Fransico
Skip - K character- Kane Morgan
I'm about 50% of the way through my current UNO book but I went to book club today, and our book for this month is The Buried Giant. Can this be used for any of the cards? Another SKIP card, perhaps?
It'll definitely work for a Skip card, yes. It can also work for a 0 since it's a stand-alone. There are a few more card possibilities with the various characters in the book (Edwin, Ivor).
Yay, Silje! :-)I finished
. Really liked it! And I'm already looking forward to getting my hands on the second book.
BOOK COMPLETE
5 mar5 - I title - In the Middle of Somewhere
7 - V character - Rex Vale
Skip - P author Roan Parrish
Eldarwen wrote: "Yay, Silje! :-)I finished

It reads so nicely! Aside some typos etc that have actually not been corrected (I think they really did not change anything at all), it reads like it's been plucked from a child's imagination sometimes. You know, the easy invention of magical descriptions and things that aren't what they should be etc. I really enjoyed this.
I wanted to spend more time reading this weekend but I somehow ended up not being at home today hehe. Just got back so I'll see how many pages I'll get in tonight. I'm not in much of a reading mood at the moment, but that might be different in an hour or two.
BOOK COMPLETE

BOOK COMPLETE
6 March 3 - H title Helping Hand

I have finished The Unexpected Inheritance of Inspector Chopra. I finished it today. My next book is The Buried Giant which can be used for SKIP in hand 5. Unless you think it would be more suited to another card :)
Skip is always a card to have filled in earlier on in the game, I find, so we'll use it for that one :-)
BOOK COMPLETE
7 March2 - T character Wyatt Truman
6 - 6th series
8 - E character Evy Stone
9 - N title The Night Before Dead

Yessss, can't wait either!!!And here's hoping that the edition you linked will be the one available to me... otherwise I'm going to scream because then I'll have to wait...
I have the whole series in the same edition in paperback, so I want to keep it in the same edition hehe.
The bastard publishers for the Kate Daniels series only released the paperback months after the hardcover!! D: So I had to wait, and wait. Now it's finally out - though initially they said August 2016.
