i was shocked and stared at the book for the longest time and then tears randomly showed up in my eyes and i was thinking what Nora was going to do and so i just read. sadess thing i've ever read considering i "fell" in love with Scott.

I know how you feel. Especially when Patch was in hell. I started screaming at the book and tossed it across the room. I cried for like 15 minutes before i read the ending. lol

How many of you knew Dectective Basso wrapped up in this whole mess? Greatest gift ever to Nora. Patch can finally feel. <3 :) Greatest ending to a series ever!!!!!!

I was literally on the third book and it's like Detective Basso is here, and I'm screaming "So you're telling me there's only one police officer in the entire state of Maine?"

Thats what i thought too! And to Ryanne, i was starting to guess that Basso was going to be a big part of everything cuz its the way he acted and how he did things that just made me think, " omg, shit just got real." Bahahaha. It was an amazing series and im proud to say that i finally own the entire series. :-D

So, I'm about done with book 4, and am open to spoilers, so can you please tell me what ends up happening with Detective Basso? Cause earlier it said she "sensed" something that she only feels with nonhumans, then it completely drops for 200 pages, and I am really confused...

Hey Dani, so at the end of Finale, Detective Basso is really an archangel who was on Earth undercover and his job was to keep a close eye on Hank Millar and his family. He was also trying to eradicate devilcraft.

Yeah, I finished it late last night (like 10 pm) and I got it. Was he the one who gave Patch the "power" to feel emotions? Cause that whole part confused me...

Yes he was. When Basso was talking with Nora, he told her to slice right through the middle of her birthmark on her wrist. When Patch and Nora were saying "their vows" Nora slit her wrist right their and fit it with Patch's and that gave Patch the ability to feel. Personally, I think it was Basso's way of saying thank you to Nora for eradicating devilcraft and for everything Nora has had to go through since she figured out what she was.
