Well, we are moving on with the discussion despite some understandable disinterest!

Well the next step in the investigation is toward the group of Gordon Marsh haters. We also find out that Foster, the janitor was responsible for some of the mess that ruined the opening of the pub, though apparently not the murder.

The plot is thickening, though. And not a dearth of suspects wanting Gordon dead, either!

Wow, Foster. I can see wanting to pay back but not at the cost of all that Amy-Faye listed.

Not high on my list of suspects as he did seem to be pretty busy that night. F\Perp feels like a jilted lover.

The plot thickens as we find out that one of the leaders of the "out the cheaters" group was actually married to Gordon!

Wow, I did not know that. Sounds more like it, Pghfan. Then again, that may change as we go along.

Allison | 905 comments Well Gordon was certainly no prize was he? I'm not sure that I wouldn't have thought about killing him either.
And then there's Foster. No prize here either.

And the plot thickens further as we meet Gordon's ex and his son! Ahhh! Suspects galore!

Allison | 905 comments The pub sounds like a really great place though. I'd go there.
I like that she sticks up for her brother but I'm wondering if maybe he couldn't help a little bit more?

I was hoping to start the next section today, but I caught a cold over the weekend and didn't get to chapter 20. I did make it through THIS section, though. In chapter 18, there was a lot of stuff with Amy-Faye and the attorney going over police documents about who what where when. I know there must have been clues there, but I was unable to keep up with them! Must be the decongestants.

I hope to start the third section tomorrow!

All's well, Pghfan. Rest up, get well quickly, Pghfan. We're fine.

Boy, that "Gordo" sure didn't let grass grow under his feet. Are there any gals in town he didn't have affair with or get marry to?

Allison | 905 comments But he was such a putz and yet all these women flocked to him? I just don't get it. Apparently he was wealthy though and that in itself will attract people even when the person is not nice.

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments Yeah, I never understood why women flock to jerks like that!
I'm on chapter 15 and there are a lot of suspects. I did come across some dialogue that touched on the "Poirot" aspect when someone said, "maybe they all did it"! I'm wondering if they continue in that vein (since the reading group hasn't discussed the book hardly at all so far).
In other news (as only my reading pals will "get"), I am excited to sign up for a bunch of new books for review! I hope I get picked. If you don't follow any authors on Facebook, especially the cozy authors, then I really encourage you to do so! They have a bunch of contests and "parties" and I have won a load of books. It's so much fun to interact with the authors. Getting the Facebook notice that an author "mentioned you in a comment" is like winning the lottery to me LOL Ok, maybe i'm a weird book nerd but it is exciting.
If anyone is interested in joining the review crew this is the link to sign up:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1kORd...
There are 5 books up for review right now. Wish me luck that I get picked!

Nicole, I reviewed a few books in years past and I'd a few reviews done on my two mysteries. One sponsor would even pay their reviewers to do this service. Not sure she's running offer anymore. But it is interesting and it's time well spent. I found it a fun experience.
