Geeze Cindy, I'm really sorry. I checked the puzzle and just jumped in with the B. I'm on my tablet and it's not the easiest thing for this old dog to use and I missed your guess.

Since I'm going to be away from my computer for most of the day, I went ahead and posted a new quote. I will have my tablet with me, though.

Remember that your book must have been finished after this point.

message 1622: by Kathy (new)

Kathy Thanks, Lanelle. My guess is that it is a book by Jane Austen, but I don't which one. Anyone else have an idea?

Lanelle, will you please let me know if I should use the spoiler feàture if I have a guess again? I can definitely see the advantage in case someone is wanting to work it out but isn't quite finished when someone guesses, but I just want to be sure whether it's expected. Thank you :)

message 1623: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

Lanelle | 20968 comments Mod
You're right, Kathy. It is Jane Austen. One of my favorite books of hers is Northanger Abbey. Catherine Morland has an incredible adventure.

Sorry that I forgot to answer your question about the spoiler. It is nice for those who are still guessing letters, but not absolutely necessary.

message 1626: by Lanelle, Production Chief (new)

Lanelle | 20968 comments Mod
Jenn, your book needs to be finished after the quote has been posted. That was a little over four hours ago, so you can't use Keeping Her Secret. Maybe you will be able to use your next book.

Pao, there are 4 Ls. A good start.

Don't be silly, no apology necessary. I just thought it was funny. We were both reading books that only gave us the option of choosing B! lol

Cindy I thought it was funny too. I didn't think you were upset, but you know some people get sort of snippy..... I always figure it's a game and we should have fun with it.
So what book do we read next and then we can race each other to see who can guess first.... ;-)

You have to have asked for at least one letter in order to make a guess at the puzzle.

A new quote has been posted. Good luck!

You can use the first letter of the title of your book (ignoring a, an, the) or the initial of the author's first or last name.

Remember that your book must have been finished after this point.
