Hi I'm hansrox! I just became obsessed with Hamilton like two weeks ago and ever since then I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat! I've tried to convince my friends to listen to it but try think I'm crazy... I'm so glad to have found people who love it as much as I do!
My family is all into it. I basically had to sit on my mom to get her to listen to it, but now that she likes it, well, a lot more things became possible -- like currently having tickets. My stepsibling was the first to like it in my family. Then on the drive to the airport (we were going to Iceland), my stepsibling mentioned liking it. Of course, ky friend who was going with us said one of her friends was into it and wanted to listen to it. With them listening and my mom and stepdad working on directions, I decided to listen. True story of how I got into Hamilton. Actually, we were very nonstop about listening to it (the three of us, not the adults) the entire trip. I think my ears were oozing Hamilton by the end of it. I tried to purge my mind of it for the two weeks following. Then I gave up, bought the soundtrack, and started listening to it on repeat. There have now been multiple days I have stayed up until six am and been like "Holy sh*t, this is the third time through today. Oh well."
Haha! I tried today to get my dad to listen to it cause he's into theatre like me but I guess he wasn't feeling it. Sigh.
My dad isn't a fan of it, and neither is anyone on his side of the family. My mom's side is all fans. I told one of my friends I like it. He said, "Not you too." He then commenced playing some song he likes that I thought was horrid, so I started either playing or saying (or both) the first song of Hamilton. We both decided to stop playing our music after a couple moments (we disagree on basically all non-Game of Thrones fandoms).
Lol! Yup that's my friends and I too. The only thing we can agree on is books.
My friends are generally (with the exception of my Hamilton friend and my online friends) the types that cannot communicate without shouting at each other.
Do you have a favorite Hamilton ship?
Also, I'm about to watch "Don't Ever Wipe Tears Without Gloves", so my replies may become less frequent.

my family all like it, but my dad likes it less because of the bullets in the battle of Yorktown (come on, it's hard to rap "musket balls" )
(I'm pretty sure Hamilton's men in the battle just didn't have the supplies to load any firearms, but he took Redoubt Ten in about ten minutes)

i'm gabbu (it's a nickname). an irl friend introduced me to hamilton but i put it off because i'm usually a very visual person, but elf (who invited me to this group) brought it up later so i started listening to it and found i enjoy it. i usually end up listening to the entire album at least once a day.
