SOLVED. Romance novel where evil twin sister tries to kill the main character [s]

Hello, in the maybe early 90s I read what I think was a Harlequin Romance where a girl goes to a new years eve party and kisses the man of her dreams. She tells her twin sister but when the guy trackes down the wrong twin the sister marries him. He takes her back to his castle andthe right twin visits. The evil sister then tries to kill her / fakes her own death/ tries to kill her again by locking her inthe castle's dungeon during a ball and taking her place.
I thought "new year" was inthe title, butI can't find the book anywhere.

I looked at every list I could think of, Twins/mistaken identity/New Years Eve etc. and still couldn't find it. I think it was a small grey book, probably a monthly Harlequine or Silhouette from the 80s-90s time frame. thanks for looking though.

Found it! The book is The Kiss of a Stranger by Brittany Young a Silhouette Romance from 1988.
