Thanks for this suggestion. I've actually been wanting to read some more F. Scott Fitzgerald other than The Great Gatsby so this short story was perfect since I actually saw the movie. I almost wish I had read the story first though because I was comparing it to the movie the whole time. The movie created a much richer and in-depth life story for Benjamin, so it made it more difficult to appreciate the short story in its own right. It was still a good story though, and well-written.



I downloaded it for my Kindle yesterday, surprised that it's not actually a book but a short story in a larger collection of Fitzgerald's writings. I read it all last night and was a little disappointed that there wasn't more to it. Still, it was good. Now I've seen the movie, read the graphic novel, and read the book. This is one where I can say I actually liked the movie better.
BTW, does a short story count? I promise I won't make it a habit.
