Pedro Tomatis | 49 comments Hello Librarians,

I recently added book with ISBN 9786123190415 (El Octavo Ensayo, by Aldo Mariátegui), but I forgot to add the number of pages it has. Could someone help adding that info? I has 163 pages.

One thing else, when I registered this book I noticed that someone else had previously registered it, but without the complete info (ISBN, pages, etc.). That is why I registered it again as a new edition (although it is actually the same edition),

Should one of the registrations be eliminated? If so, I suggest eliminating the version with incomplete information...

Thanks in advance!

Pedro

Peeyush Kumar (peeyushcray) | 5 comments I have added the no. of pages. However, the edition of the book shows 164 pages (http://www.communitas.pe/es/estudios-...)

Pedro Tomatis | 49 comments Thank you very much. I have the physical book next to me an it has 163 numbered pages :/

Maybe they are also considering the reverse of the last page, where it only says when it was printed?? Anyhow, it doesn't make a difference I guess.

Should the other registry of this same book (the one that is incomplete and does not have the ISBN info, or any info other than the title really) be eliminated? I leave this up to you regarded librarian.

Thanks a bunch!

Pedro

lethe | 16368 comments If page 164 contains actual text belonging to the book, it should be counted. If it's just the date that printing was finished, I wouldn't count it.

The other incomplete edition should be merged (deleted), but at the moment there is a bug in the merge function, so it will have to wait.

lethe | 16368 comments Have requested a merge in this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

In future, please don't add a new edition, but make a request in this group to have the existing edition edited. It's easier and saves work. Thanks!

Pedro Tomatis | 49 comments Noted. Thanks again.

Regards,

Pedro
