Sejal | 30 comments Clockwork Princess for TID
City of Heavenly Fire for TMI.
I just love the way Cassie finishes series.

message 52: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Munsch | 10 comments I think I liked TID more because of the time period is was set in. Plus I liked the relationships between the characters more than in TMI

message 53: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 1 comments The Clockwork Princess!

Juliettechevalier | 12 comments The infernal devices all the way!!!! I love it so much!!! I think it's because I'm a lot closer to Tessa that I am to clary.. Plus, my friends,my teachers and my family think that my place would have been in that era somewhere in the U.K. My best friend actually said to me that I physically look like a lightwood from the TID and that I AM a Herondale by blood

message 55: by Trinity (new)

Trinity | 7 comments TMI all the way!

I agree

message 58: by Damilola (new)

Damilola A (dlolaa) I just love the Infernal Devices. The storyline was so good and the way Cassandra finished each book was magic! I do like the Mortal instruments as well but there are more memorable things to quote from TID. And I also just really love Wessa and Jessa and I love the way they appear in other Shadowhunter series like The Bane Chronicles and Jessa in Tales From A Shadowhunter Academy!!

Totally agree!!!

message 60: by Jodie May (new)

Jodie May It's such a hard decision but I have to say TID although TMI was amazing.

message 61: by Leticia (new)

Leticia Porter (leticialouise28) | 7 comments Personally I like Lady Midnight better than both series but for just the both of them I prefer TID though TMI's ending was absolutely amazing

message 62: by Katria (new)

Katria | 4 comments City of Ashes and City of Lost Souls captured my heart. I don't know how, but the Clace moments in there got me.
Also, after finishing TMI, I tried to start reading 'Clockwork Angel' but somehow I can't get really into the books. Is it worth continuing?

YES!!! The series starts off a little boring and confusing but once Tessa gets to the institute, it gets really good. The shadowhunters in this story are just as amazing as the ones in TMI and I actually like them better (than the ones in TMI) because they have a much more complicated history.

message 64: by Sam (new)

Sam (samsauer) TID because I instantly fell in love with the characters, where as in TMI it took me a while to figure everything out. My favorite book in TID was Clockwork Princess!

message 65: by Nora (new)

Nora Feinberg | 15 comments I will not choose. They were all so good!!! :)

message 66: by Suzi!!! (new)

Suzi!!! (suzievelyn) I definitely loved both series and I think each one has it's own strengths. For example, the dialogue and character relatabilitiness (I know it's not a word, but that's the only way I can describe what I'm talking about) in TMI was amazing for me. Each of the characters probably made me laugh at least once in each book simply because of a comment made in such dire situations. Then there's TID, which I felt was in a way more mature and tragic-type (you know what I mean). Again, I loved both, but I think I cried more (by just a few tears) with TID, which means something.

I'm probably a bit late, but I absolutely think you should continue with TMI. It only gets better.

message 67: by Kyle (new)

Kyle | 4 comments I loved both, but I think I love TID more. The struggles Will went through broke my heart. I liked Jace too, but something about Will made TID my favorite. I really enjoyed Lady Midnight. I can't wait for Lord of Shadows to come out.

message 68: by Karina (new)

Karina Irismetov | 6 comments I love both series and right now I'm rereading TID , it is just so awesome but at the same time heartbreaking. For me one of the worst part is in the clockwork prince when Tessa has to turn Will away and breaks her own heart..

message 69: by Emily (new)

Emily | 16 comments They're both such great series, and i love all the characters in each

message 70: by natalia (new)

natalia | 184 comments Both series are really good stories with amazing characters like Tessa, Will , Jem, and Clary, Jace, Alec. I love all of their personalities. Throughout all the books I have read how they changed in the hearts and the brains and because of that both book series have a place in my heart.

message 71: by Virginia Ronan (new)

Virginia Ronan ♥ Herondale ♥ (virginiastone) | 1 comments I love both of them but I somehow like TID a little bit more. XD
I can't pinpoint why but I think it's because the characters were so amazing and it plays in London. =)

Miko (mii-miko) | 44 comments Virginia wrote: "I love both of them but I somehow like TID a little bit more. XD

I love the Shadowhunter world. I also liked TID a bit more than TMI. I can't wait for the Last Hours series!

message 73: by shae (new)

shae camardo (shaecamardo) | 14 comments Favorite TMI: City of glass! ( so epic love the end and the clace kiss!)
Favorite TID: Clockwork Princess ( Heartbreaking Amazing END) epilogue is so sad but so GOOD
Favorite TID: Lord of Shadows ( Great sequel to a epic first book but this one I got more action and Kieran Mark and Cristina)
FAVORITE SERIES: This is a very hard question because I feel like I have an emotional attachment to TMI but I think TID is better written. I LOVE TDA too but I don't love the characters as much as I love the TMI AND TDA

message 74: by Filomena (new)

Filomena Baker for me i personally loved and felt more in TMI, i mean it made me laugh and feel more. i also think that the story lines are better in TMI than in TID. I still LOVE TID but TMI never got boring. wel except CoB which was not as good as the rest of the series but it was still amazing.

message 75: by Filomena (new)

Filomena Baker and TMI just sits in a place in my heart where i can't imagine loving something more than it. TMI is somthing special. None of my friends are going to read TMI because i spoiled it for them.

message 76: by Tacey Raye (new)

Tacey Raye | 17 comments Clockwork princess is my all time favorite.

message 77: by Alex (new)

Alex (agalaxyexplorer) I prefer TID. I love the characters so much more and adore the Victorian London setting.

TMI is still special to me though as it's the series that got me into YA fantasy.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

I SERIOUSLY CAN'T CHOOSE WHAT KIND OF TORTURE IS THIS XD

message 79: by gwyn (new)

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

TID is my favourite..

I just simply fell in love with the characters of Tessa, Charlotte and especially the mysterious Will. You also learn to love Jem much, too.

I very much would love to read the Mortal Istruments but I am going to read "The Selection" series, by Kiera Cass, first. For sure!

message 81: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Cuppett (moogzies_thetmilover) | 54 comments I enjoyed TMI to TID ,of course I fell in love with Tessa and will but I felt like i got way more attached to TMI since we had so many books with them

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

TID was more enjoyable and mysterious, I believe! Although the TMI was great and thrilling, it wasn't my favorite. Tessa and Will will always be my favorite duo!

message 83: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Cuppett (moogzies_thetmilover) | 54 comments I actually perfered TMI,of course the infernal devices was great but I got so attached to the TMI charecters,I even feel in a way I grew with them

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

That's actually a really great connection. I love getting attached to the characters and feeling like them.

message 85: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veronicaah) Oh wow, I think I liked The Infernal Devices better, but I really really really really liked them both. I absolutely loved City of Glass and City of Heavenly Fire, but that's 2/6. I adored and I'm completely and utterly in love with the three novels that belong to The Infernal Devices trilogy.

message 86: by Millaa (new)

Millaa (millaaxo) | 2 comments TID

message 87: by Lydia (new)

Lydia The Infernal Devices has a special place in my heart❣️

message 88: by M4nu3l4 (new)

M4nu3l4 | 1 comments I think my favourite is TID because I started the shadowhunters` saga with it... and I love Will <3

message 89: by Sam (new)

Sam M (sam_eeha) My favourite book would have to be Clockwork Prince because there were lots of moments with Jem and he's my favourite character overall. But at the same time, I feel that TDA is my favourite series so far.

message 90: by KV (new)

KV Campanella (kvcampanella) | 3 comments TID.

Though I read the books as they came out (starting with TMI), there was something about TID that I felt really drawn to. I think it was a mix of the setting and the characters (Will <3). Can't wait for The Last Hours!

message 91: by Ana (new)

Ana (anaswriting) | 2 comments I think The Infernal Devices is more thoroughly written, maybe because by that time Cassandra Clare already had an idea on what the users are looking for.
I can't choose between TID or TMI because both have an enriched plot filled wit twists.
However my favorite book from TID is: The Clockwork Prince (it has the climax and so much is going on!)
TMI: City of Fallen Angels; It's amazing.

message 92: by Dana-Rae (new)

Dana-Rae (danarae_tibbetts) I loved both of these series equally, TMI starts off slow but once you get into it you won't be able to put them down!

message 93: by Scarlett✨17™ (new)

Scarlett✨17™ I think TID was so much better, mostly because it took less time to do world building. Also, I just LOOOOOOOOOVE the Victorian era, which made the trilogy a lot more appealing to me.

P.S. Loved Will's character!! Made me cry because he almost didn't end up with Tessa, and might have had to be the monster he claims to be and never find love!!! (Crying hysterically.)

message 94: by jaanavi (new)

jaanavi | 3 comments TMI, I still haven't read TDI but I'm sure I will still continue loving TMI more as that is where all the magic started!

message 95: by Billie (new)

Billie (bibillieophile) | 18 comments TMI because Jace on it. lol

message 96: by Lara (new)

Lara T (lpcarstairs) | 1 comments Still TID!!! I think this is because TMI was Cassie's first series. You can clearly see how better she got in writing as the books go by, COB and COA is pretty sloppy (compared to CoHF/CP2/Lady Midnight) but City of Glass deserves a shout out since it's the one that got me finally hooked to the Shadowhunter-verse

message 97: by Vanshika (new)

Vanshika I think I prefer TMI to TID. Although when I reread the first 2 books of TMI, they do seem not as amazing as the rest of Cassie's work. My favourite work of Cassie's so far though, is probably TDA

message 98: by Isla_Herondale (new)

Isla_Herondale | 48 comments TID because... I don't know, it's just my favourite

message 99: by Isla_Herondale (new)

Isla_Herondale | 48 comments Definitely infernal devices, its more romantic and there is more action

message 100: by Elsie (new)

Elsie (elsiecomby) | 3 comments TMI i have finished. Only started TID but it's a little... unrequited. I mean of course it is. But can emma and jules get together already honestly
