Enjoyed your review! I am looking forward to January!
I just finished Maze Runner by James Dashner
It has been made in to a movie which hits Cinema's here next week. Let me tell what a whirlwind of a story it was. Action, Action, Action!! My brain is a little numb from it all. So next up I think I'll read something light and fluffy! Perhaps the book Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis will do.

I know I saw the previews last week when my mom and I went to the movies

I plan to start the next book tonight.
Can't wait!!
Susan, sounds like a busy weekend. Hope you have nice weather. At least here it's not supposed to be quite as hot.

Not much reading this week, as I'm busy getting the house in order and work has been crazy!

Argh, upper level math! When I was in high school algebra, trig and geometry were a snap. I could see the problems in my head and had them worked out by the end of class. My junior year I would have had a near perfect score but I continually lost points for 'note taking'. Then I got to college and took calculus and differential equations. I understand there is a relationship between two and three dimension space (area and volume), I just couldn't see the equation in my head. It killed me. I eventually dropped Civil Engineering for Anthropology.
Good luck.
Currently making my way through the Animal Magnetism Series by Jill Shalvis. Really enjoying them. Currently on book 3.

Thanks for the update. I want to eventually get that one from the library, but right now I think I need to pick something that flows and is a faster read.

Think I'll pick up Gone Girl after I have finished the Animal Magnetism series that I am reading now. Gone Girl starts at the movies in two weeks I think. So want to get it read before I go see it.
That one's never even crossed my radar. Not my type of read and don't get me wrong I LOVE thrillers just not the true crime ones.
That's the way Susan, Life's too short to waste time reading awful books! I haven't picked anything up since the surgery. Brain is too foggy with painkillers to make sense of the story. But think I'll be back reading today. I want to get back to the 3rd Animal Magnetism book!!

I would like to be able to read it on my Nook just because of having an instant dictionary, but since it's $9.99, I think I'd go to the library when I get around to reading it. Some of the reviews say it's a hard book to get into. I have several other books I want to read, so I'm not in a rush.

Feeling more human today!! Got maybe 20 pages read yesterday, couldn't get comfortable enough to read anymore. The weather is gorgeous though, bright blue sky and light winds. A nice change after a few days of grey and rain! Storms supposed to move in this afternoon though.
been taking a break from the Richard Jury novels. I started The Martian the other day and I'm loving it. The character is Hi-larious. Seems fairly well grounded in science, but it's the humor, the way he talks to himself, that really has me hooked.
Great reading choices everyone. I hope you all join us for our January group discussion of Michael Siemsem's Exigency
Michael will be joining us! So mark your calendars and I'll be putting more up about it as we get closer to the end of the year. Wow the end of the year how'd that happen LOL

Just finished
. I was blown away. Never heard of the author before, but he blew me away. It was funny, it was fast paced and it was interesting (astronaut stranded on Mars). I can't say enough good things about this book. I didn't want to put it down.
So I watched the first season of a TV Series called "Witches of East End" So I then hunted down the book by author Melissa De La Cruz.
So, I read that yesterday afternoon, and let me tell you it was the biggest load of rubbish I have read in a long time. But on a good note I loved the TV Series!

I just finished Spark of Light by Elizabeth Tuttle. After the the great apocalyptic war which ended in the enslavement of the previously unknown earth's population, life is dire for Avery a young elf. This is a poignant story about Avery, as she discovers friendship, life and love.
This is a wonderful story and Elizabeth has humbled me with her first novel. I can hardly wait for the next two of the Trilogy.

Currently reading
by Greg Enslen that was recently free from Kindle. It's turning out to be a pretty suspenseful novel, written in a similar style to the Harry Bosch series.

Day two back at work, and feeling pretty sore and sorry for myself!
Still reading Of Metal and Wishes, I am in love with this book, book two doesn't release until mid next year :(
I am going to soon start "Gone Girl" too. It seems everyone either loves it or hates it, so I thought I would find out for myself.
