I'm in a reading slum and it seems to be lasting way too long for my liking. I haven't pick up a book in over a month :(
I'm reading "the scatter here is too great", its a collection of short stories about my city. Karachi. High expectations.

I'm also listening too a fantastic Fantasy set in WWII where a B17 flies through a time warp and ends up in the future. It's really good I got it on an audible daily deal a while ago I only have 4 hrs left to listen

Though after this weeks kerfuffle I'm thinking a Larry Correia, or John Ringo novel might be in order. Not that they need the money, but their stories make me happy and it seems to make the whiners upset when this group makes money.
I ended up picking up one of the other Evil Legion of Evil authors, The Evil But Beautiful Space Princess, AKA: Sarah A. Hoyt and Darkship Revenge
I recently read:The Chalk Man
The Girl With All the Gifts
Noir
The Call of Cthulhu
Now I'm reading The Outsider.

Anyone going away for the holiday and bringing along a special book you've been waiting to read?

Ok so I just finished I Liked My Life and OMG what a powerful read, it's hard to believe its a debut and read like it was from a tenured author. This would make a great book club read.

I just finished Lucky Bastard Sports Broadcaster Joe Buck's autobiography for my library book club. I liked it and am featuring it today on the blog as part of my #LibraryLoveChallenge -http://bit.ly/2sPqoBR

I just started "Venom in the Veins" by Jennifer Estep, it's a long running urban fantasy series I've read for a long time. I think this is book 17.After that I will most likely read "Ocean Light" by Nalini Singh. I've been reading her books for a long time too. Still feel like I'm in a bit of a reading funk, but hopefully these two books can finally shake me out of it.

Torn (Whiskey Sharp #3) by Lauren Dane
Yes Deb, the Spidey one, lol. I've read most of her books and series. Except the Bigtime series. She has a new series starting towards the end of the year called "Kill the Queen"
I finished
The Lost For Words Bookshop and posted my review on GRs. I'm featuring the novel on my blog when it releases and there will be a giveaway :)
I'm starting Dark Operative: The Dawn of Love book #20 in I.T. Lucas' Children of the Gods series. I love her series
Next I'm reading Deborah Cooke's next in her Dragons of Incendium series
Then I have some Fall releases that a few publishers would like my early review of.
Desperate Girls
Sold on a Monday
and a few indie releases too

I've read a ton of Harlen Coben's novels and he is good but I prefer women thriller authors.
I have multiple favorite authors from each of the multiple genres I love
The one author I don't like is James Patterson but I really want to read/listen to The President is Missing so I may break my no Patterson rule :)
100º today ugh and we have to venture out to multiple stops so that means sclepping the wheelchair out multiple times too. By the time we get home I'll be done for!!!

So why the no Patterson, Deb? I've only read a few of his "Book Shots" which most were collabs with other authors. I actually don't think he had much writing to do with them, his name was just added as a marketing tactic. I also prefer woman thriller authors myself.

I have no problems with the authors who writes his newest thrillers, I in fact am a huge fan of some who've gone on to solo careers, but I was in love with his women's mystery series until he started killing off favorite characters. That's a big no no for me.

I actually found Aussie Author Candice Fox via a collab with her and Patterson. She is actually one of my top authors at the moment, her "Hades" series is a must read for scary/dark/thriller. But it's definitely not for the faint of heart. Stephen King is a no go for me. I don't like his writing style or language.
I started to read one of those Stephen King books called Pet Cemetery and I hated it so I had to stop reading it

I don't like a lot of King's books but I LOVED 11-22-63
Andrew Gross is one author who started out writing w/Patterson who went on to a very successful solo career and one of my faves
