message 138: by Ruth (new)

Ruth | 206 comments I really love and recommend the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling). I just finished "The Silkworm" and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am currently reading "Written in My Own Heart's Blood," the latest from Diana Gabaldon. It'll take me weeks and weeks to finish this tome. Thank goodness for my Nook so I don't have to carry around a massive hardcover!

Hi Everyone I'm so glad Susan and Ang are reading one of Lisa's other novels which was one of my favorite. If you'll look at the pics on our group site you'll notice the one of the ladies in hats, that was our gift from Lisa when my B&N club read that book together.
And a suggestion for your next read might I suggest one of Lisa's other novels
either
Friendship Makes the Heart Grow Fonder by Lisa Verge Higgins

or
One Good Friend Deserves Another by Lisa Verge Higgins

Actually Susan I think it's because Lisa's other novels are stand alones and you get a definite ending with them unlike Random Acts of Kindness which is just the first in a series.
I've read and loved all of them.

message 141: by Ang from OZ (new)

Ang from OZ | 1690 comments I will most likely read the rest of Lisa's books at some stage. I am feeling like jumping into a nice Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy as that's my preferred genre. I should probably catch up on some "Robin D Owens" and "Yasmine Galenorn" books as I am some what behind in them. Thanks for the suggestions! :) and Happy FRIDAY for ME!!!

Karen Laird (shadetreebookreviews) | 228 comments I have just finished reading The Dig by Michael Siemsen. It is my second time to read this wor k and I loved it as much or more with the second reading than I did the first time.
This story is a totally different spin on time travel and the suspenseful action packed story of both story lines within the book keep you turning pages as fast as you can read.
Michael has since written 3 other books and I have found each of the books mesmerizing in their own right. I am eagerly awaiting the release of a new book he is almost finished with.
